Nobody POV:
Giyuu lay on the carpeted floor. How was he going to explain why he'd run away like that? Surely the rest of the hashira would think that it's strange. Plus, he didn't answer the question, which meant that he'd never see the end of it.
He slowly got up, still thinking about what he was going to do in his current situation. He headed towards the front door and grabbed the door knob. He hesitated for a second, before opening the door completely.
Once he was outside and had closed the door behind him, he headed towards his favorite spot. The wisteria cliff. Being there was always oddly relaxing, and it helped him get his mind off of things.
The moment he saw the beautiful clearing, he felt more relaxed than before. He walked slowly to the edge and sat down. He took a deep breath, trying to reax his muscles. This was really a breathtaking view. The lush green grass underneath him was soft, and the wisteria trees seemed to glow in the sunlight. As for the forest below him, the leaves of the trees stayed green year-long, with a gigantic mountain behind them. The mountain in which had snow at it's peak.
"Giyuu? I saw you up here from the forest and I thought I'd talk to you."
"I do have the time, so we can talk. What is it you need, Tanjiro?"
"Well, my life has been pretty rough recently, and you're really the only person I can talk to."
"Ah, okay. Come sit down" Giyuu patted a spot next to him, and Taniro quickly came to sit next to him.
"Wow, what a beautiful view."
"This is actually my favorite place to go to. The trees down in the forest stay green year-long."
"That's amazing." Tanjiro smiled warmly.
Giyuu actually thought of Tanjiro as a son. Tanjiro had always turned to Giyuu for words of advice and encouragement. Although he hated to admit it, Tanjiro reminded Giyuu of Sabito. To be honest, Giyuu was always jealous of the other hashira. They were all so content with the way they lived, while Giyuu was over here with the mental power of a slug.
"So, what's been troubling you?"
"Well, every time I get sent on a mission with other people, they always get mad for two reasons. Once is my rank, and the other is the color of my sword."
"That's going to happen quite often, it's normal for someone to judge you by your rank and the color of your blade. While there is nothing you can really do about it, you should just prove them wrong. people like that aren't going to make it very far in the demon slayer corps."
While Giyuu wasn't the best person to turn to for advice, he could atleast provide this.
"Thank you, Giyuu. I really needed that." Tanjiro's smile grew wider.
"It's nothing, really. I'm always free to talk to if you're having trouble."
They sat in comfortable silence for a few minutes.
"Hey uh... Giyuu?"
"Yes?"
"Have you... ever been in love before?"
Giyuu stayed silent for a second.
"No, I haven't. Why do you ask?" Giyuu knew the answer to his question.
"Well.. I fell in love with this girl..." Tanjiro's smile faded. Giyuu turned his head to look at Tanjiro.
"It's Kanao, isn't it?" Giyuu had already known who Tanjiro had been crushing on. After all, it was really obvious.
"Yeah... Wait, how did you know that?! Am I that obvious?!"
"You are painfully obvious, Tanjiro. I thought that you were purposefully making it that way."
"Whaaaa!?!?" Tanjiro turned bright red. Giyuu chuckled slightly. They both stayed silent for a second.
"Can you please give me some advice?" Tanjiro broke the comfortable silence.
"Tanjiro." Giyuu put his hand on Tanjiro's shoulder. "Just go for it. It's obvious that she likes you back, anyone could see it."
Tanjiro smiled.
"Thanks, Giyuu." Tanjiro slowly stood up, waving goodbye to Giyuu as he walked away.
Wow, y'all actually thought that there would be a happy chapter? Just wait.
