Into the Devil-verse

Another You

Meanwhile, two men were waking up from their unconscious state. They find themselves in the middle of an unknown city. The city was destroyed and corpses of humans and demons were equally splayed out on the ground. 

“What hell is this?” The younger man says approaching a demon corpse. “ I have never seen any demon that looks like this. These look more cybernetic.”

“Indeed, mixing demons and cybernetics has been unheard of. By the looks of these, these have been the work of demonic forces and something else unknown. I doubt any human would make any modifications to an actual demon.” The older one replies.

“Dad, did I ever tell you the story of Nico’s father, Agnus? That man tried to use me as an experiment. He combined alchemy and demonic power to create Angelos to serve Sanctus. But he never got the chance to continue his work since Dante killed him. I’m sure if that bastard was still alive, demons like this would appear.” 

“Dante has not told me that story. Agnus is lucky that he had faced Dante and not myself. I would have made him suffer for even trying to use my son as an experiment.”

The younger man looks up at  his father and smiles. A small smile appears on the father’s lips. The father-son moment came to an abrupt halt when they saw a digital sign appear above them.

“Welcome to Limbo City. Home to the Heroes of the Order.”

He sports a blue trench coat with blue patch on his right right bicep paired with dark blue slacks and black boots.  He posed with two women and a man that could be identified as his twin but with a red and black jacket and a flag of some sort on his right bicep. The name Vergil appears underneath the man in blue. 

“No way, that’s not possible.” The younger one says. 

The older man is silent but with shock written all over his face. More information begins to appear on the screen. 

“Vergil is the one of the two sons of the demon lord Sparda and an angel named Eva. His parent’s union was met with hostility from Sparda’s side. His brother Mundus ordered an attack on his family, which ended up with Eva being killed. Sparda was charged with banishment, which has been said to be worse than death. 

At the age of 21, Vergil led a resistance movement against corporate leader Kyle Ryder. Vergil and The Order found evidence of crimes against humanity by Ryder and that Ryder was actually the demon lord mundus in disguise.  From there a team was put together consisting of Kat, a psychic who helped him bring the veil between the human and demon realm to light, Dante, his twin brother who helped with the combat side of things, and Alessa, who was a willing participant in Project A. 

Project A was a scientific project to create the perfect supersoldier to help combat demonic and hostile angelic forces. Unfortunately,  Alessa was the first and last success since Dante ended up betraying the team and destroying the order facility. 

Dante’s whereabouts are unknown but are still under investigation by The Order.”

The younger man looks at the his father, 

“Dad, could this be some kind of parallel universe?”

Still in shock, Vergil looks at his son who looks concerned, “So it would seem, Nero. I onced asked myself that if Dante and I’s lives were reversed, would the outcome be the same and I got my answer. But I get the feeling this situation is much worse. We need to find Dante immediately.”
