“Are you sure this will work?” Vergil asks his companion.

“It is the only chance we have against him.” She replies.

Vergil begins sealing the doors. A sudden explosion sends him flying back on to the ground. They are now out in the open where demons can see them. A horde of demons then begins to come toward them.

Kat begins to start the spell circle,“ This should reverse time and take us back when we all  defeated Mundus. We can avoid the big fight and convince Dante to keep fighting on our side.“

“If this doesn’t work, we need to activate Project A.”

“Are you sure she is ready? We haven’t fully tested her abilities at combat level?”

“She has trained enough with me to take Dante on if all else fails.”

“I wish it didn’t have to come to this. Dante has put her through enough already.”

“She willingly volunteered, remember?”

“This could reverse her back to normal if this works, you know, are you willing to deal with the consequences?”

“It’s now or never.”

“Okay, here goes nothing.”

The spell begins to activate.  The whole room they are in begins to shake and begins to glow a bright blue.  The whole environment begins to pixelate and turn into what it seems like stained glass of moments within their past.

Things then took a turn for the unexpected. The glass begins to break and the blue now turns into a dark purple.  Kat and Vergil begin to panic.

“What’s going on?” Vergil shouted.

“The spell, I think it backfired!” Kat yells back.

“What could have made the spell backfire?”

“I don’t know! But now we have to hang on! It looks like we are going to go through some kind of tunnel! Look!” Kat points.

Vergil turns to see a large purple tunnel forming right before his eyes.  He grabs Kat just in time before they get sucked in.  Their screams go on deaf ears as they begin to travel into the unknown tunnel. They then lose consciousness and everything becomes a blur.

After what it seems to be an eternity, Vergil and Kat regain consciousness. They find themselves on a roof. They look down to see Limbo City still destroyed and with demons still roaming around. The city was still desolate as ever since the Mundus’ veil was lifted.

“It didn’t work.” Vergil whispers to himself.

Meanwhile, Kat scans above to see if she can find anything abnormal. She was feeling a lot of disappointment since the spell didn’t work. She studied it from top to bottom and somehow nothing seemed to happen….Or so she thought.

Luck was on her side when she saw a man with snow white hair and a red trench coat on the ground unconscious. She perks up instantly and calls Vergil over. He seemed very serious until he saw the man on the ground. Normally, he wouldn't be phased over something like this but the man’s abnormal hair color really caught his attention.

With Vergil’s nephilim abilities, they were able to approach the man almost instantly. They checked him to see if he was injured and thankfully he was just passed out. With that, Vergil lifted the man over his shoulder then sliced a portal with Yamato. They need to find a safe place.
