"good morning, robin!" a male voice said and robin knew exactly who it was. "steve, god, you're half an hour late." the short haired girl said frustratedly, "it's not like many people went here already." steve said as he fixed his hair, making sure he looked good infront of the ladies that were about to go inside their shop.

"just shut up!" robin said and slumped on her seat, arranging the tapes she was about to put in every genre section.

the bells chimed on the door, indicating that someone had entered. "welcome to family vide— oh nancy!" steve greeted, surprised that his ex-girlfriend, well, friend, was standing infront on the counter. "hi steve! is robin here?" nancy asked, getting on her tiptoes while searching the shop.

robin immediately stood up and waved, "hey, nance! what brings you here?" robin smiled and elbowed steve, giving him a sign to continue what she was doing a while ago. "i just wanna ask if you're free to hangout tonight?" nancy asked.

robin had wondered, why did the nancy wheeler wanted to hang out with her, it's not like they were close and good friends. they kind of disliked each other while getting to interview victor way back. she guessed that they were just people who has mutual friends in between.

"uhh earth to robin?" nancy waved her hands across robin's face, who probably zoned out after rambling inside her head. "huh? oh yeah, i'm free later!" robin rambled, earning a giggle from nancy, "okay, i'll pick you up here 8 pm, does that work?" the curly haired girl asked, "yes, yes. that's great!" robin answered, touching her nape. nancy smiled and proceeded to look for tapes.

not long after, nancy went to the counter, handing two tapes, "i would like to rent these two, y'know, for later." she gave robin a smile as the girl infront of her nodded, robin looked at the tapes, 'the breakfast club' and 'ghostbusters'? maybe the ghostbusters tape was for mike and his friends, but robin just shrugged her thoughts off and gave nancy a bag with the tapes inside.

"i'll be going now, see you later! oh, and bye steve!" nancy said, exiting the door and steve's head perked up, "bye nance!" he said and stood up from the chair, giving robin a smug look.

"what's with the face, dingus?" robin asked, feeling annoyed. "oh nothing, i was just curious on why nancy asked to hang out with you. i never knew you both were friends." he said, letting out a small smirk form on his lips.

"i know! we aren't even friends, well, i think? i mean, we just met because of you, and the kids you are friends with. are they also my friends? nah, man. i don't know too!" robin said quickly, grabbing a fistful of her hair, pulling it.

"woah, chill. i was just asking. why are you so nervous about it?" steve asked stacking the tapes he has just arranged on the counter. "i don't know. maybe because it's so unlikely that she asked me to hang out when i don't even actually know her that good." robin said as steve nodded, "well, goodluck buckley." he said and placed the tapes on the shelves.

robin was left dumbfounded, she was drowning in her own thoughts, 'why is nancy wheeler asking her out?', 'are they even friends to begin with?'.

robin felt intrigued by her own mind, she just figured out to wait until nighttime to know why nancy wanted to hang out with her.

the night approached and steve and robin closed the shop, both bid their goodbyes and went on their separate ways. to robin's liking, she stayed under the street lamp beside the shop, waiting for nancy to arrive.

a familiar car stopped infront of robin and she exactly knew who it is, nancy wheeler. "hey, robin! hop in!" robin thought she sounded cheerful, not unlike those times when she was probably irritated with her rambling and being nervous and all.

robin sat on the front seat and buckled herself, "how was work?" nancy asked as her fixed her hair in the mirror of the car, "t'was good. not a lot of people came in though." robin said quietly, it was awkward to engage in a conversation with nancy wheeler, the girl who she called a priss back then. nancy thought how robin was too quiet, normally, she would ramble and ramble, but maybe that's what happens when she gets to interact with a lot of people.

nancy smiled at robin and proceeded to drive to their destination.
