I opened the door to my room and guess what, there were four pair of unknown shoes in the room. And then, I heard familiar laughter.

Me: You guys...

And just like I expected, it was Kushida, Ike, Yamauchi, and Sudou.

Yamauchi: Hey, welcome back!

Kushida: (L/N)-kun, I've gathered everyone up! It's a meeting pool what we've learned!

Me*thought*: Why the heck it has to be in my room.

Ike: You know, I can't believe how empty this place is.

Kushida: That's right. You don't have any personal belongings.

She said as she checked out my drawers.

Me*thought*: Do you guys even know what is privacy?

Kushida: It's all just the stuff that's provided. (L/N), are you a minimalist.

Me: Perhaps, I am. Plus, I just don't have the points to buy anything. That aside, how did you guys get in here, anyway?

Ike&Yamauchi&Kushida: We had duplicate keys made!

They said while showing me the keys.

Me*thought*: Fucking shit.

I took those keys, including Sudou's.

Me: Sorry, but you are not permitted to enter my room without my permission.

I said and put the keys in my pocket.

Me: Now-

And then my bell rang.

I walked to the door and opened it. Standing there was Horikita.

Me: Horikita.

Horikita: Regarding the witnesses...

She was about to enter when she noticed I had uninvited guests.

Horikita: I'm leaving.

And just when she was about to leave, Kushida came and called Horikita.

Kushida: Horikita-san! You came!

I leaned in to Horikita.

Me:*whispering* Just share the information you have. We'll just listen to it.

Horikita sighed.

Horikita: There was a witness.

Her statement caught both me and Kushida by surprised.

Me: Who is it?

Horikita: Sakura-san from our class.

Me: The one who sit next to Sudou?

Horikita: Yes.

Kushida: She's always quiet and doesn't open up to anyone. I think I might have her phone number from the teacher.

She said and walked back into the room while dialing.

I turned around and gestured Horikita to enter.

She sighed and followed me.

Sudou was surprised when he saw Horikita.

Sudou: H-Horikita, what are you doing here?

Horikita: Someone pleaded me to come.

Me: Yeah, whatever.

Kushida then spoke.

Kushida: I can't reach her.

Sudou: Damn it.

He laid on my bed.

Me:*looks at Horikita* What makes you think she saw the whole thing?

Horikita: She was the only one who looked down yesterday when Kushida asked that question. As for you, I'm just gonna assume you were thinking about plans.

Me: I see.

Horikita: Anyway, whether it's self-defense or not is a trivial detail. That makes Sakura's testimony isn't gonna help that much, actually.

Sudou: Huh?

Horikita looked at me for a moment before walking to the door.

Horikita: Goodbye.

She walked out of the room as I just stared at her.

Kushida: Um, (L/N)-kun...

Me:*whispering* I'll explain to you later. And I appreciate it if you guys leave now. I want to get changed.

Kushida: G-Got it.

She then gestured the other three to leave my room.

As soon as they got out, I received a message.

"So, how's your investigation going?"

I typed my answer.

"We found a witness, but that may be useless."

"Glad you realized that. Anyway, I see potential in you. Don't disappoint me."

"Got it."

I put my phone down and let out a sigh.

Me: As expected, gaining his trust is hard.

I took off my uniforms and walked to a mirror in the room.

I looked at my body in the mirror.

For a lazy-looking guy, I got a very fine physique.

Well, I guess this was the result of everything I went through at that place.

I continued to stare at the mirror for another five minutes.

Me: Well, as long as I'm here, I should be fine.

I said and walked into the bathroom with a towel.

Honestly speaking, I just used this case for my own good. With Kushida around, my freedom is at risk. That's why I need to win this case so I can assure my freedom.

What's my motive?

Well, I guess that will be a secret for now.

When the time comes, I shall reveal it to those who I can trust.

Until then, I'm just an ordinary high school student living my normal high school life.
