Two days later when Jaydan was walking in the garden he saw the swing folded and attached to the ceiling.
Past - Memories
It was Shashini's 21st birthday.
"Happy birthday." Jenith and Alexander shouted together while sitting beside Shashini.
She was startled and woke from sleep.
"God you both gave me a heart attack." She said while rubbing her chest to calm herself.
"Aww.. sorry sweety." Alexander said and side hugged Shashini.
"It's ok pa." She smiled.
"Thank you so much." She said.
"Here's your gift." Alexander and Jenith said in unison while giving a big box.
She opened the box and found a knee length gown with matching necklace and earrings.
"Wow.." she exclaimed.
"Do you love it?" Jenith asked.
"Of Course I do." She said.
After sometime she asked "Where's he?"
"Tomorrow only they are signing the deal so he didn't come." Jenith said and Shashini's face fell.
Evening
Party
"Happy birthday bulbul." Ashwin wished and gave a box to her.
She opened the box and found miniature royal cars.
"For my collections?" She asked in excitement.
Ashwin nodded his head.
She thanked him.
"So tell me where's your hero?" He asked.
"Jay didn't come." She said.
"What? Why?" He asked.
"He's busy with his work." She answered.
"Did he wish you?" He asked.
"No Ashwin." She answered and tears filled her eyes.
Ashwin hugged her and wiped her tears.
"Today's your birthday bulbul. Please don't cry." He said and tried to cheer her up.
The party was in full swing.
Close circle friends, relatives and a few important business people were invited to the party. But the birthday girl was not in the mood for anything.
Around 11pm the party came to an end and everyone left. Shashini went to her room and lied on the bed after changing into comfy clothes.
It was 11.45 when someone knocked on her door.
"Come in." She said.
Jenith came inside.
"Shashi come with me." He said.
"Where?" She asked.
"Come." He said and pulled her hands.
As soon as she stood up from the bed he blind folded her.
"Hey, How can I walk?" She asked.
"Follow my lead sweety." He said and took her to the garden.
