I got home regretting what I said. I told Kassy not to tell anyone about what had happened with the kiss and how we liked each other. I'm pretty sure she hates me. I just didnt want to see her hurt again and I just hurt her. And if anything happened between her and Karissa she didnt tell me. I walked up the stairs to my room. My room is covered in my art and other peoples art. I flopped on my bed and rolled over and picked up a picture of Kassy. I remember that day like it was yesterday. Kassy had got dumped by Carter. She was heartbroken so I took her someplace she's always wanted to be. There's this willow tree in the woods at the park. I took her there and she wasn't so sad. She tied her hair back in a braid, she wore a baby blue off the shoulder top, denim shorts, and her white converse. I called Kassy to say sorry but it rang 4 times and went to voicemail: Sorry I can't come to the phone right now please call back later.  I was going to call Mally but I hadn't realized how long I was looking at the picture. It was 11:00 so I put my phone on the charger and went to bed.

I got to school early so I could talk to Kassy. Kassy goes to school early for soccer practice. She wants to prove to her coach that she can play on the varsity team. So she goes to school early for extra practice. Sometimes she practices with Mally when Mally isn't at lacrosse practice. I went to the art room to clear my head but the next thing I knew the first bell rang. I can't help it that I get lost in my art sometimes. It happens when something is wrong with Kassy. I clean up and head to my locker on my way. I see Kassy crying in Mallys arm. Shh It's going to be ok he's just a big jerk Mally said soothing Kassy. Hey guys I said walking up slowly knowing something was gonna happen. Kassy whipped her tears, slammed her locker and walked away. Kassy Im really sorry i said as she passed me she didnt even notice i was there. Mally turned to me to go Noah. You don't know how sorry I am Mally I said, turning to her. You know she's having a rough time with Ted and her parents- Mally stopped there. What about her parents Mally what isn't she telling me. Well I need to tell you now. Mally sighed and was almost in tears. Well her mom recently got diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and her dad isn't very happy about it because of how much money it's gonna cost. Mally started crying but continued. And they've been fighting constantly so Kassy will randomly show up to my house on days it's worse one of these days my parents are gonna say no and her dad gets aggressive when mad and I'm just worried. I pulled Mally into a hug letting her cry into my shoulder. Hey it gonna be ok I promise we can talk about this with Kassy and- NO she cut me off right now we need to worry about fixing your relationship with her. I released Mally in my arms yea I know I have an idea you just need to help her get ready for me ok. Ok! Mally seemed excited now. Ok so this is what we're gonna do after school meet me at the park with fairy lights and a picnic blanket. I have everything else. Can you pick me up? My parents took my keys again. Yes just be ready at 4 ok. Ok I got this. 
I picked Mally up at 345 and we went to the park. We found the willow tree and started setting things up. We hung the fairy lights up in the tree branches and hung polaroids of me and Kassy from them. I ordered "Big Burger'' for myself and Kassy, our favorite restaurant. We laid down the blanket and set up everything else. I set out Kassy's apology presents and dropped Mally off at Kassy's. I drove home and got dressed. I put on the same outfit from the first time we went to the willow. I got back to the tree at 6:00 and text Mally it was time. An hour later Kassy showed up. When she got out of the car she looked beautiful. She was wearing a baby blue and white pine striped off the shoulder top, denim shorts, and her white converse. Her hair was in its usual french braids. She was wearing a very similar outfit to the first time we started coming to the willow. Hey Kassy I said rubbing the back of my neck. What did you need that I needed to dress up and come here for , she said annoyed. Well I just wanted to apologize so I set something up and asked you to come here. Well apologize so i can go home Noah. well there's more to the surprise.
