I rushed out of the classroom, hurried remembering that I had a soccer game. When I left the classroom Noah was standing there waiting for me like the sweet boyfriend he was.  Hey speedy what's going on He said in a sweet tone. Soccer game completely forgot about it, I said, shoving stuff into my book bag. Want me to come watch. I stopped and looked at Noah with fear in My eyes. W-what I  stuttered trying to form words. W-wha b-bu I-I you never huh. He chuckled and grabbed my hands trying to calm me down. Don't worry the game doesn't start till 4:30 and I'm always at your games. I just leave before you notice so you don't beat me after. I looked up at him, he smiled and kissed me. We stood there at my locker kissing till Mally came up and started talking. You won't believe what just happened. We looked at her breaking the kiss. Uh s-sorry Mally looked down embarrassed. It's just t-the g-game got canceled and w-well I was u-um. Mally stuttered, looked at me like something was extremely wrong. I released Kassy from my arms. Noah smiled at me. I  looked at him nervous knowing something was up. Come on Mally. I grabbed her arm and went running to the bathroom. 
What's wrong? I asked Mally as we walked into the bathroom. The second the door closed Mally collapsed into my arms crying. I-I should've noticed something was up he was always at practice and never had enough time for me anymore. She continued to ramble on and all I knew in the moment was that I should hold onto my bsf and let her cry till she could explain.
20 minutes later Mally started calming down. Now what happened? I asked giving me a hug. I caught Jackie kissing Harley she said numbly. So Jackie is gay? I asked her, confused. I knew something was off. He had some signs of it. I-I don't know Kassy. I just walked in where he told me to meet him then they were just kissing-a-a-a-a-and. I hugged her again and let her cry into my shoulder. Finally she stopped crying. I think what you should do right now is go home and call him, I said. She nodded as we stood in the bathroom waiting for Molly to fully calm down.
At 4:30 I walked Mally out to her car giving her a tight hug and letting her go home.
I was sitting at a table in the art room studying while Noah painted. I suddenly heard a ping coming from my phone. On instinct I opened my phone to check the message.
Mom- "I made Your favorite food for dinner you coming home"
Me- "I don't think so Noah invited me to stay the night"
Mom- "Are you sure it's your favorite"
Me- "If you're trying to talk me into coming home just so I can watch you and dad fight all night you're crazy. Im sorry mom"
I closed my phone hearing another ping but ignoring it. What's wrong? He asked wiping his brush off.  My mom asked me if I was coming home tonight. I looked up at him. Are you? He cocked an eyebrow. I looked at him with a smile on my face. I thought I was staying with you tonight, I laughed a little. Or do you want me to go over to Mallys. I pointed towards the door. I was teasing him and he knew it so he teased back. Well if you do i'll go to the tree alone tonight. I gasped in shock teasingly and we both laughed.
After we were done cleaning up we picked up our bags and went out to the car. We hopped into the car and drove off. There were multiple times my phone had gone off.
Mom- Kasandra come home please
Dad- Kasandra stop torturing your mother
Mom- please honey i'm sorry we won't fight
After that text I stopped reading. Parents? he asked. I nodded and gave him a smile. He chuckled, took a hand off the wheel and put it on my  thigh. I shivered and blushed.
Later when we got to the house we had dinner. The entire time Maria was going on and on about how she was so happy we were together. After dinner Noah and I snuck off to get away from Maria. We cuddled up to each other in his bed. I was admiring his artwork when he started talking. So this is really happening he was rubbing my back. After several years I giggled. I wasn't wrong though we had both had a crush on each other for more than 3 years. Noah chuckled and kissed me.
Noah mom needs- Noah broke the kiss looking up at his younger brother. Ahh do you guys have to do that here. Micheal covered his face blushing. Um yea this is my room Noah looked down at me and kissed my forehead. Ew mom needs you Noah and you to Kassy. Micheal rushed out the room, slammed the door shut and ran to his room. Welp I had a feeling she was gonna need us at some point he said picking me up. Noah I can walk ya know. I fought for him to put me down. Not today feisty. He walked down the stairs and the second we saw my parents Noah put me down. When my dad walked up to me I knew what was going to happen. He raised his hand and slapped me across the face. I knew it was going to bruise like always. Noah grabbed me out of the way before he could do it again. What is your problem she didnt do anything wrong he said hugging me while I sobbed into his chest. My mom looked at Noah looked at me then walked out of the house. She is my daughter and she is coming home with me got that young man. My dad reached for me but Noah moved out of the way. Do you do this to the both of them he asked. Why is that any of your business Noah. My dad made another reach for me, grabbed my hand and pulled me over to him, hitting me several more times. Mom call the cops Noah yelled over to his mom. I couldn't do anything. I was useless. He continued to hit me over and over again. Noah couldn't do anything either.
When the cops showed up I was pulled away from my dad. The medics quickly started working on me. The cops arrested my dad and went looking for my mom who had just let it happen like always. I was questioned as well. Ma'am tell me do you have any other family members. I shook my head. Noah hugged me, making circles on my back calming me down. Is this your boyfriend, the cop pointed at Noah. I nodded again. Is it ok if she stays with you until we find a foster home. The cop continued to talk to Noah. What if she just moves in with us Noah asked the cop. Only if that's ok with your mother she does turn 18 next fall. The cop was writing stuff down quickly. My mother loves Kassy. I'm sure it will be ok. Noah hugged me tighter hearing my silent sobbs. 
When the cops left Maria let us go back up to Noah's room.
We cuddled in silence for an hour waiting for me to calm down. Finally when I was Noah spoke up. Are you ok? He grabbed me lightly and pulled my face up. I nodded and hugged him tightly. I'm sorry you had to see that it's never gotten that bad normally he just knows to leave me alone. I continued to ramble and soon it turned into incoherent words Noah cut me off by kissing me. I immediately stopped.
