I walked Kassy out to her car hugging her and kissing her one last time. She had but her clothes back on but was shivering. Wait here on second I said running to my car. She giggled watching me run. Hearing her giggle was the most amazing sound someone could hear. How had someone so beautiful and amazing been abused. Tod was an awful person and I absolutely hated him for hurting her. I pulled my hoodie out of my passenger seat and ran back to kassy. When I got back, she smiled at me. I handed the hoodie to her and watched her put it on. She planted a kiss on my cheek and hugged me not wanting to let go. She looked up at me and smiled. Wanna see if you could stay the night Kassy said. It's a school night, I said. You're right she looked disappointed saying this.  Maybe this weekend I said squeezing her tightly. Maybe she said. Want me to pick you up tomorrow for school? I said, trying to boost her spirits. Her eyes lit up and I immediately knew the answer. Pick you up at seven. Yes!! She said. I kissed her one last time and helped her into the car. Kassy started her car and looked at me not wanting to leave. Are you sure you don't need help with the stuff she asked mournfully.  Yes I can do it myself, go home and get some rest. But I want to help you. You could be out here all night if I don't. All I have to do is put everything in the bag and I can leave, I said staring at her. Please Noah she looked like the whole world was gonna end if I didnt let her help. Fine but turn off your car so you don't run out of gas. She turned off her car and hopped out. Race ya she said running towards the tree.
When I got home I plopped done on to my bed and set my alarm for six o'clock. Giving me enough time to get ready and pick Kassy up. I layed in bed for an hour going through the day. I had made out with Kassy, started dating her, and found out her parents were fighting. Overall it was a pretty good day. Lets just hope Karissa doesn't ruin things for me cause she always has in some way.
I woke up to the sound of my alarm the next morning. I quickly got dressed, packed my bag and ran down stairs to the paint room grabbing my new brushes. "Honey why are you running around the house" my mom said pulling stuff out of the oven. "I'm picking up Kassy at 7,'' I said looking in drawers for my pencils. "Well it's only 6:20 dear and your pencils are in the cabinet by the door" she said, plating the food she had made for breakfast. "And it takes twenty minutes to get there and found them. '' I shoved my pencils in my bookbag and ran into the kitchen. "Hurry up and eat then" my mom said pushing my plate towards me. "Micheal get down here now you need to eat before school" Micheal was my little brother this year was his first year of highschool. He has all the girls, he's in almost every sport, and he has good grades. He's the perfect child. The only problem is he doesn't listen, he stays up all night playing video games, and has no friends or respect for our parents. Yet our parents love him half to death. As he came down the stairs he looked exhausted and like he was gonna start yelling. "I'm not going to school today. I was up till five thirty," he said, glaring at my mom. "I will go get your father if you don't get dressed" "omg I hate you" He turned up the stairs and came down five minutes later. "Happy" "very now come eat" my mom pushed a plate of food towards him. "Ok i'm done I'm leaving" I put my plate in the sink. "Are you going to pick up your girlfriend Noah" Micheal said mocking me thinking I didnt have a girlfriend. "As a matter of fact I am now have a good day" I left the house leaving my brother in shock. "You have a girlfriend before me,'' he yelled out the window. I ignored him and backed out of the driveway.
I pulled into Kassy's driveway and saw her run out the door almost in tears. When she got into the car I didnt know if I should ask her what was wrong or stay quiet. But my curiosity got the best of me. You ok? I asked, waiting for her to answer. Oh I uh- yes Im fine she said whipping her cheeks. You can tell me anything I grabbed her hand trying to comfort her. I'm guessing Mally told you about my parents, she gasped, starting to cry again. It slipped up yesterday. I squeezed her hang, somewhat calming her down. My dad....he told my mom that if she didnt tell the doctors that she didnt want the medicine he would leave. Kassy was sobbing now I pulled into the school parking lot and quickly parked. I hugged Kassy letting her sob into my shoulder. Kas it's gonna be ok I promise if you need to you can stay at my house tonight. I rubbed her back trying to calm her down. R-really she stuttered. Yes I mean it is Friday isn't it I chuckled. She giggled a little bit trying to calm herself down. She whipped her tears away and smiled at me. Kassys smile was so beautiful. I couldn't hold back any longer. I pulled her into a kiss. Whenever we kissed Kassy would tangle her fingers into my hair pulling it slightly if she wanted the kiss deepened. She was so needy when it came to stuff like this. I pulled away trying to catch my breath. I kissed her cheek then turned off the car. We got out of the car and walked up to the school holding hands.
During art class Karissa came up to me and started asking me with a bunch of questions. Please Noah tell me why you chose her over me she touched my shoulder and gave me puppy dog eyes. Get your hands off me I shrugged her hand off then went back to painting my canvas. Come on you know you have feelings for me. No I don't Karissa now go sit down before you get in trouble. I walked over to the counter looking for a new brush and the right color paint. I started a new project for Kassy today and Karissa was bothering me.
Noah please tell me she acted as if she was the most innocent person in the world. The teacher yelled at her and told Karissa to go to her seat because she was distracting me. Finally she stormed off but I knew that wasn't going to be the last of her. I got my brush and paint and went back to my stand. I had started painting the willow tree. I knew Kassy would love it. the tree was one of her favorite things in the world. I wanted it to look good so I was gonna spend a long time working on it.
At the end of the day I stood waiting for Kassy at her locker. When she came running out of her classroom rushing to her locker. Hey speedy what's going on I looked at her half smiling. Soccer game late completely forgot about it, she said, shoving stuff into her book bag. Want me to come watch. She stopped and looked at me with fear in her eyes. W-what she stuttered trying to form words. W-wha b-bu I-I you never huh. I chuckled and grabbed her hands trying to calm her down. Don't worry the game doesn't start till 4:30 and I'm always at your games. I just leave before you notice so you don't beat me after. She looked up at me, smiled and kissed me. We stood there at her locker kissing till Mally came up and started talking. You won't believe what just happened. We looked at her breaking the kiss. Uh s-sorry Mally looked down embarrassed. It's just t-the g-game got canceled and w-well I was u-um. Mally stuttered, looked at Kassy intently like something was extremely wrong. I released Kassy from my arms. Go I smiled at her. She looked at me werely. Come on Mally. She grabbed her arm and went running to the bathroom. I went to the art room continuing to paint.
I was painting till I got a text from Kassy asking me if I had gone home. I sent one back saying I was in the Art room if she wanted to come and watch. 10 minutes later she came in and walked straight to me. Hey she smiled. Her bookbag was hanging off her shoulder, still unzipped with papers hanging out. Homework I asked her, smiling to myself enjoying her company. She sighed and sounded very annoyed. I chuckled, she giggled, sat down and got to work.
At 5:00 she got a text, she looked at her phone, picked it up and I could see the pain on her face. What's wrong? I asked wiping my brush off. She looked up, putting her phone down. My mom asked me if I was coming home tonight and she put her phone down. Are you cocked an eyebrow. She looked at me with a smile on my face. I thought I was staying with you tonight, she laughed a little. Or do you want me to go over to Mallys. She pointed towards the door. She was teasing me and I knew so I teased back. Well if you do i'll go to the tree alone tonight. She gasped and we both laughed.
After we were done cleaning up we picked up our bags and went out to the car. We hopped into the car and drove off. There were multiple times Kassys phone had gone off she would check it, roll her eyes and turn it off. Parents I asked. She nodded and gave me a smile. I chuckled, I took a hand off the wheel and put it on her thigh. I felt a jolt from under my hand, then Kassy was blushing.
