(Y/n's POV)
"Do you trust me?" I asked out of nowhere while Allison was talking. She froze for a minute or so. When she came back to her senses, Allison looked at the floor.
"Tom thinks your dangerous," Allison said, looking away.
"What do you think?" I replied. "I asked if you trusted me, not Tom."
Allison fell silent and let out a sigh. She glanced away and left the safe house without another word.
"You didn't answer," I whispered, turning into a fox and curled in a ball on the makeshift bed.

"Y/n?" Allison's voice said, waking me up. I stretched and hopped off the bed. I mewled at her and she glanced down.
I turned back into my human form and glanced at her. "What do you need?" I replied, flicking one of my ears.
Allison eyed my ears and tails before speaking. "I chatted with Tom and he said I can let you out but you can't leave," She said.
"How are you suppose to break the wood planks?" I asked, looking at the boarded doorway.
"Tom's axe," Allison answered. "When he comes back," she added once I glanced at his normal sitting area.
"I see then," I muttered. "While we're talking, could I have some soup? I'm quite hungry," I added.
"Sure, just let me get a bowl," She said, smiling gently at me. I laid on the bed and stared at the ceiling as Allison prepared the soup when we heard the door being opened and slammed shut.
"Are you okay, Tom?" Allison's voice asked. I saw Tom ignore her from the corner of my eye. I heard him going over to the area where they slept and didn't hear anything afterwards.
"Here's the soup, Y/n," Allison said, handing me the bowl and then going to see Tom.
I was thinking about having no spoon while drinking the soup when I heard a snarl and gasp then a whimper, which made me accidentally drop the bowl.
"Allison?" I called, getting up. "Tom?" I shivered.
Allison came from the beds and immediately started looking for bandages in the desk. I noticed a bite mark on her arm and knew Tom bit her. But why?
"Are you okay, Allison?" I asked, panicking.
"Just give me a minute please.." Allison answered, quietly wrapping up her wound. "Tom bit me, that's all,"
"Why?" I questioned. It seemed odd of him to bite the person he liked most.
"Maybe he's just moody about letting you out," Allison suggested, taking the empty bowl from my cold hands after I picked it up.
"Probably," I agreed, sitting on the bed. I stifled a yawn and went for a nap.

A loud breaking noise woke me up and I sat up straight. I saw Tom breaking the wooden planks and when he was done, he turned to me and huffed.
"Grumpy doggo," I muttered. I transformed into my fox form and waddled to him. I purred up at him for the floor, wanting cuddles for no reason.
"Please?" I mewled. Tom narrowed his eyes and glared at me.
"What do you want." He snapped.
"Affection," I chirped, hopping in his lap. "Can I have affection, please?"
Tom glared at me coldly and forced me to roughly lay on his lap. He started petting and rubbing me and I leaned into his touch.
I eventually fell asleep on his lap and opened my eyes blearily when I felt being picked up.
Tom plopped me on the makeshift bed and give me one more head pat.
"Hmpf, I want more snuggles," I mumbled sleepily.
I heard something come to my direction and started petting me again. I started purring lazily and fell asleep for the night/day.
"I like Tom, even though he's a wolf cartoon and I'm a kitsune," I mumbled unconsciously as I went to sleep.
"And I think I'm starting to like the fox." said the cartoon petting me.

NOTE:
Hmm, is it just me overthinking myself or is Tom out of character? I'm a terrible writer and my father said something that sort of discouraged me from writing. ~Caraleigh
