it was january 4, 1961 and i was new to england as a whole. i had recently moved from my hometown of woodbridge, new jersey to birmingham. on this particular night, however, i was in liverpool, exploring all of my new home.

i sat at the bar swooshing my drink around, the ice clanking against the cup made me smile a bit before a young man stepped beside me. he had brown eyes and brown hair. i couldn't help but become curious as this man glanced over a bit towards me.

he ordered a soft drink before smiling, facing me as he did so, "new here?" he questioned while i nodded a bit,

"y-yeah! i came from new jersey. i'm julia." i grinned sticking my hand out politely. the young man shook my hand as he beamed,

"i'm john! what brings you here tonight?" he asked, taking a swig of his drink.

"well i was getting tired of living overseas, so i decided to make a change of scenery, pack my bags, and head out." i giggled, while he grinned,

"well welcome to shit hole liverpool! the only action you'll get here are teddy boys cat calling literally every girl." he joked while he finished his poison before raising his brows at me,

"well, julia hope you enjoy the show. i gotta get on stage now." he winked before walking towards a few more men who obviously were his band mates.

i smiled at all of them as the lead guitarist turned a bit to adjust his amplifier, meeting my eyes along the way. he smiled a bit while i melted on the inside, blushing deeply.

the band began singing while i sat at a nearby table mindlessly listening to the music. i was more preoccupied with john's handsomeness. apparently i was so immersed in what he looked like that i didn't realize that guitarist at the bar, eyeing me slightly.

having had enough of this man's shenanigans, i approached him, "something wrong?" i straightforwardly asked.

"i saw you talking to john earlier." he stated taking a sip of his dark liquor.

"yeah and?" i inquisitively remarked.

before this boy could answer, john interrupted us, "julia! come here for a minute!" he grinned.

i nodded and went over, "what's up?"

"wanna come back to my hotel room? we could uhm get to know one another and do whatever else you'd like." he winked while i blushed deeply,

"uhm i-i would love to!" i smiled looking down.

"perfect!" he smiled, walking off when the man from before approached.

"you're that desperate huh?" he scoffed, raising his eyebrow.

that little sly comment made me arch an eyebrow while i let out a tut, "well for your information he was just being friendly. why do you care?!"

"he does that with everyone lass." the guitarist debated while i furrowed my brows a bit,

"whatever." i groaned rolling my dark eyes.

"you're chasing the wrong one." he reiterated while i sighed out of exasperation,

"you know you've got some nerve! i don't even know your name." i quipped.

"it's george and yours?"

"julia." i mumbled tersely.

"well good luck tonight, but don't say i didn't warn you." he winked subtly.

"yeah thanks." i sarcastically smiled walking off.

later that night i was in the hotel room with john who was making me very uncomfortable. he laid his head in between my legs while he traced circles up and down my thighs. i closed my eyes in content before i felt his fingers inching closer to my heat,

"jo-john no." i whined while he pulled off,

"sorry." he muttered.

i went to respond before another knock came at the door. he leapt up and answered it as two more women walked in, "ah hey donna and dill! the party's in here." he smiled while i sat up furrowing my brows a bit,

"who are they?" i questioned softly.

"prostitutes! this is an orgy." he winked.

it was here that those guitarists words hit me. he was doing this to everyone and i had fallen right into his trap. i quickly gathered my belongings and stood up, "you know john, this was fun and all but uhm i should go."

"you can't go just yet! we haven't even had sex yet!" he laughed while i shook my head,

"and we won't be. fuck this." i gagged pushing past the short blonde haired girls. i hurried out of the hotel room, down into the lobby where i bumped into george.

"leaving so quickly?"

"you were right about john! he does do that to everyone. i feel like such a cluck." i sighed

"don't be so hard on yourself julia, it's alright." he reassuringly smiled

"yeah if you say so. wanna grab a coffee?"

"thought you'd never ask." and with that george and i left to grab a coffee as new friends.
