"how was i supposed to know he was married with five kids, all by different women?" was what i said over the phone to my mom.

"what a pig." she scoffed as i sat on my bed criss crossed, painting my toes. i had been in a relationship with a man named george for about a few months now, but just recently found out he had five kids with five different women.

"you can say that ag-." i began before my phone rang, it was him.

"oh God he's calling me now." i groaned.

"be strong julia. call me later, love you." my mother replied softly.

"i will and i love you more, call you later." i responded as we hung up. i answered george's call,

"what do you want george?"

"to talk to you. allow me to explain my situation." he pleaded.

"how can you explain having five kids with five other women?! you're insane." i quipped.

"insanely in love with you." he smiled, as i rolled my eyes,

"alright, enough of this. i'm just gonna go for the night." i exasperated.

"look julia, i know i've been a liar these last few months and for that i'm very sorry. i just want another shot. i can be what you need me to be jules." george explained.

i sighed, pinching the brim of my nose, before shaking my head, "george, please stop. there's no use in repairing this."

"why not?" he asked.

"because you've already damaged me! you've lied to me for three months and i just- you're just really good at hiding it." i huffed.

"let me come over and make it up to you. please? i know what i've done in the past but i want to make it up to you." he questioned.

"george...i-," i trailed off as i thought back to the conversation i had with my mother, "that's probably not the best idea." i added on.

"you sure?" he repeated.

"yeah, i'm sure." i responded.

there was no use in him combating my already made up mind, but he was known to be stubborn at times, so i caved in, "ugh fine!" i answered not even a second later.

"ok i'll be over in a bit." he replied as he hung up.

i was already regretting my decision as soon as he hung up, but i held my head up high, and that's when i heard the doorbell ring. i had thankfully finished my toes by then. i carefully got off my bed, walked to my front door, opened it and saw george standing there. he wore a dark purple button up with the top buttons opened, navy blue jeans, with his hair placed in a nice mop top. i eyed him up and down before meeting my eyes on his,

"oh hi there." i smiled.

"hey," he whispered, "can i come in?"

"y-yeah..please." i moved aside as he walked inside. he caught a glimpse of my red painted toes, smiling,

"they look pretty jules." he replied, meeting his eyes with mine. i blushed softly,

"oh? thank you! i just painted them." i smiled.

i closed and locked my door as i felt myself wraveling into his web of charisma. george cleared his throat, taking a seat at my kitchen table as i gnawed on my lip nervously, "so what did you want?"

"i just wanted to talk to you." he responded, patting the seat next to him. i hesitantly took a seat beside him as he looked at me,

"you look so beautiful right now. have you met anybody new?" he asked. i shook my head, looking away from him.
