I really hate my life.
The girl has been sitting in this chair for an hour trying to reach an agreement with the motgers of the future married couple. Holding her temples, she sighed heavily.
"If I understand correctly... Neither side wants to allow me to meet the people whose wedding I'm supposed to arrange?" With tired eyes she looked at the two women arguing among themselves. The woman with shorter hair disengaged from the argument and looked at the young girl apologetically. "We really apologize for taking up your time.... It's simply that SOMEONE went to the shaman, and he told her that our children can't meet before the wedding day." At the last sentence she looked meaningfully at the other woman, red with anger. This one, in turn, crossed her arms over her chest, and Boyoung could have sworn she saw steam coming out of her ears. "And so I don't have to try very hard when your son doesn't even have time to meet his in-laws. Some excuse all the time! At least my daughter knows what you guys look like." Another sigh escaped the planner's mouth. She tightened her grip on the pen she held in the air over the notebook. She thought intensely for a moment while the women continued their argument.
Suddenly, an imaginary light bulb shone over Boyoung's head.
"If a couple can't get together.... How about meeting each separately? Mrs. Park won't have to worry about the shaman's words, and Mrs. Jeon will let me know when her son has free time." Silence fell between the older women.
Not a moment passed, and they shook hands goodbye. The young girl with last strength, lifted the corners of her lips into a friendly smile.
When the women finally left the office Boyoung slid down the door, sitting on the floor exhausted.
"It's going to be a tough case..."💐
The mall was overflowing with people. Among the crowd stood a short girl looking impatiently at her watch. "Amazing how each person can perceive time..." she said under her breath.
Her monologue didn't last long, however, when a girl emerged from the ocean of people. Although she looked Boyoung's age, the difference between the two girls was striking. The petite , short-haired Boyoung dressed in light jeans and striped shirt stood opposite to a tall, slender, long-haired girl dressed in an elegant short red dress.
"You must be the organizer. Follow me." Without looking back, she moved toward the designer clothing stores.
"I am Shinhye." She added.
Shorter girl followed her confused.💐
Boyoung's legs shaked under the weight of bags hanging from her arms. Shinhye would take her to each store and in each one she would place a new bag in the hands of the petite girl, leaving her empty-handed herself.
Now they were walking along a parking lot full of luxury cars.
"If I understood correctly... Red and white with a touch of black?" The short-haired girl tried to hold a pen and notebook in her hand while balancing various sized bags on her forearms.
The rich girl stopped abruptly making the shorter one almost bump into her. She turned toward the planner with a big dramatic sigh. "You know what... You can do whatever you want as long as it fits within my requirements. That's why I don't see the need why you should see my future husband. He will agree to everything anyway. Now, arrange these wonders in the trunk and don't forget to lock it. Ciao~" Shinye got into the luxurious red car and drove away when the girl managed to close the trunk.💐
A tired Boyoung got into her car and leaned her forehead against the steering wheel, sighing. "I love life..." She groaned at the thought of how many problems awaited her.
Her torment, however, was interrupted by the screams of a woman fleeing from a masked man. "Great... Now this. Please don't run here-" She sighed again as the fleeing woman ran past her car. The man running after her followed a moment later. However, he didn't get too far because Boyoung opened the car door causing the criminal to crash into it with an impact that knocked him to the cold concrete.
"And I thought that today I would no longer get involved in the problems of others..."💐
"So you were about to get into the car when this man emerged from under it. Is that right?" The elderly policeman quizzed the shaken woman. The woman only nodded because she couldn't get a word out.
"Neither you nor any of your property was affected, am I right?" The woman nodded again, becoming increasingly uncertain. "So nothing really bad happened..." The cop closed the files on his computer and focused on fiddling with his pen. The shaking woman looked at him with tears in her eyes. However, before she could get anything out, the petite girl, full of fury, stood up from the chair designated for witnesses and slammed her hands on the top of the police station's desk. "How dare you say that nothing bad happened! Look at the condition of this poor woman! I am to understand that you would be in heaven if the woman chased you with a knife but had her tit-""Little flower?"
Red with anger, the girl turned toward the familiar voice. "Wonderful... Now him." She rolled her eyes sinking heavily into a chair. The young policeman's face changed from puzzled to a bright bunny-like smile.
The gray-haired man looked at the two young people confused. "Officer Lee please don't play the old coot." He looked meaningfully at his superior putting a coffee mug on his desk. He changed his gaze to a gentle one when he looked at the older woman. "Don't worry, ma'am. I will see to it that the criminal gets the punishment he deserves. Please remember that I am on your side. Here, have a drink. Melissa is good for your nerves." He placed the steaming cup in front of the woman, smiling slightly at her with caution so as not to startle her with his presence.
When he was sure that the woman had managed to calm down a bit, he turned with a wry smile to Boyoung. "And you... We see each other again" She scanned him appraisingly with her eyes. "Officer Jeon." She read the badge on the young man's uniform in a voice full of exasperation.
"I guess we really are meant for each other don't you think?" He raised one eyebrow amused."Over my dead body."
