"So... You say such actions have been happening to you since childhood? You must have a really interesting life then."
The young officer stirred the drink in a cup and handed it to the short-haired girl. They were now in front of the police station awaiting further information regarding the case.
"Yes, yes, I am wonderfully lucky." She looked at the cup with the lid. "I don't drink coffee."
Junkook smiled taking a sip of his dark black coffee. "I noticed..."
Boyoung scanned him with a suspicious eye and hesitantly raised the mug to nose height. She smelled a familiar aroma that encouraged her to take a small, but still tentative sip. Her eyes widened slightly.
"Milk with honey.... How did you-"
She looked at the young man in disbelief.
"I told you that as a police officer I have many talents." He winked at her.
And with that gesture any beginning of the girl's affection for the policeman disappeared. She could not stand those cocky gestures of his as well as his tone of voice filled with confidence.

However, the moment between the youngsters was interrupted by a woman coming out of the police station who then ran up to both of them hugging each in turn thanking them over and over again.
"I don't know how to thank you! I will be grateful to you for the rest of my life! I hope that the best things will meet you! Oh how much I thank you!"
Tears ran down the woman's cheeks in streams. Boyoung decided to wipe them with a silk handkerchief she always carried with her.
" Since everything ended well you don't need to shed any more tears. You may look like a weeping angel from an artist's painting, but smudged mascara is definitely not good for your gorgeous complexion. "
The girl caringly cleaned the woman's face and gently combed her hair, disheveled from stress, with her hand.
Jungkook watched the women, and more specifically the younger one, full of intrigue and a spark of something he himself could not describe.
His trance, however, was interrupted by a senior police officer exiting the building and coming up to him.
"I usually hate to say this but.... You were right."
The elder handed him a criminal's file which Jungkook opened with curiosity. To his eyes appeared a photo of the man in the parking lot and a list of his crimes.
"I knew I recognized him from somewhere.... Detained for exposing himself in public, stalking young women after a night out, delaying taxes and the list goes on."
He nodded with satisfaction then handed the folder back to his supervisor.
"Good job Officer Lee."
He smiled his bunny smile making the senior officer's eyelid twitch.
"Officer Jeon."
He nodded slightly and returned to the station feeling like a total loser. This youngster was once again coming out as better than him. He hated it.
Junkook didn't care, however. For him, the most important thing was that justice had been done.

He approached the women at the perfect time to hear the victim's proposal.
"I would like to offer you lunch in exchange for your help. I really know it's not much, but at least this is the way I would like to show my gratitude to you. Here, my business card."
She handed Boyoung an elegant piece of paper to which she, after accepting, returned the same favor but in a more colorful version.
"I will contact you regarding the place and time. Unfortunately now I have to go home, I'm sure they are very worried about me. Thank you again." The woman bowed one last time and left in the cab she had ordered earlier.

The two youngsters stood side by side one playing with the bottom of her blouse, the other mending the pockets of his uniform.
Jungkook cleared his throat to say something however, the girl was quicker.
"Have a good day Officer Jeon."
After which, she took a quick step to get as far away from the embarrassment as possible.
"You too... Little Flower."

💐

"Well... This is not what I imagined when she offered us lunch in exchange for our help." Boyoung looked at the elegantly dressed table.
Neither she nor Jungkook expected the meal to take place in one of the city's top restaurants. And in particular, it didn't cross their minds that they would be attending it just the two of them since the woman who invited them was the chef. "You could have taken a better look at the business card." said Jungkook.
"So it's my fault? I understand that we are both not fond of each other's company-"
The rabbit-like young man frowned and grabbed his chest dramatically where his heart is.
"I didn't say that. Are you not fond of my wonderful company? "
Boyoung only rolled her eyes as she continued her statement.
"Since we are already here we can take advantage of this opportunity as much as we can." She pulled from her bag a bulky planner full of various clippings, scraps and other embellishments whose concept was known only by her.
The young officer scanned the item carefully, tilting his head to try to read the writing which was upside down.
"What is this?"

"Work."

"Work?"

"Work." She replied with a proud smile writing down another page while looking around the room mumbling to herself under her breath as she took notes.

Jungkook watched intently as the girl's hand glided across the ornate pages of the planner. His head began to be occupied by thoughts of how soft they might be. He caught himself quickly and blinked a few times in surprise at his own thoughts which he completely did not understand since he had not experienced such before.
To distract himself, he began looking around the table for something to occupy his time while they waited for the dishes to be served. His gaze stopped on the napkins neatly arranged in a container. He took one and, with great concentration, began twisting it in various directions.
After a while, he gently placed a carefully folded rose on the table.
It was only then that he noticed that the girl had stopped writing and instead pulled out her phone and began taking photos of his work from various angles.
"You have to teach me that." She looked at him with great determination with a napkin of her own already ready in her hand.
"I'll think about it... Now focus on eating because the chance to eat at the best restaurant with the best looking man may not happen again in your lifetime." With that, a woman they knew approached their table and served the most appetizing looking dishes Boyoung had ever had the pleasure of seeing.
After just the first bite, she practically melted into the chair she was sitting on. "I'm not sure about this best-looking man in my life, but I definitely have to agree that this is the best restaurant I've ever been to. The food is always delicious, but how can you reach this level of deliciousness?!"
Jungkook wanted to grumble at the girl's comment about him but was stopped by the delight radiating from her face. He focused on his food with a smile hidden in the corner of his lips and warmth spreading in his chest.
