Lee Seoah's POV
"A thousand four hundred fifty-six plus one hundred fifty calories equals......ummmmm....."
It's 1606 my dear smartass. I'm glad you took modeling as your career, if you had chosen what your parents wanted you to- an engineer- you wouldn't have been kicked out of the house but you probably would have stayed unemployed for the rest of your life, because of your amazing maths skills!", says Ji Eun.
I smack her head and retort, " Shut up and drive already, and stop arguing with me, it's 3 in the morning. I just want to reach home safely...and you call yourself my manager huh!"
Ji Eun laughed, and I sigh. Sleep-deprived, I'm exhausted after this early morning photo shoot. Ji Eun was just my manager at the beginning of my career as a model. But both of us were so similar, and hit it off immediately, and now? We're best friends. We were heading back to the small apartment that we share after finishing my shoot for the soju company's advertisement. I had to eat fried chicken with soju in the most elegant way possible in front of five huge cameras flashing blinding lights on me.
Trust me, not as comfortable as it sounds.
1606 calories-which meant I would have to jog for an hour or so and starve myself till the next day.
This was my eleventh advertisement. Modeling for small companies is like pushing a wall- no matter how much energy and hard work you pour into it, the results are the same. There's no improvement. I want to be a top model, and not like my current state- unrecognized, unknown, and desperate for good opportunities.
-----
Seven in the morning, and I'm panting like a thirsty dog, my legs heavy and as stable as blocks of jelly. My stomach's growling after a two-hour-long intense workout.
"I know you're tired Seo Ah, but please, just 50 more sit-ups and we can end this session. I have a meeting with our agency then anyways", Ji Eun says.
Not really having the energy to argue, I laboriously rise to my feet and pick up the heavy dumbbells.
I lay down after the tiring session for a long time and stare at the white ceiling, wondering if all this effort is worth it in the end.
"Byeee. I will be back soon, there's an apple in the fridge, and don't forget your skincare routine. Love you, dumbass. "Ji Eun says as she heads out.
Right. Skincare routine, intense workout sessions, maintaining my body shape, trying to look the best - my new life.
Suga's POV
"Hyung, come and have dinner with us!" Jimin calls for me.
How can I? The new choreography is difficult and I have to put in extra effort and practice for an additional hour to reach the level of the dancers in our group. Being an idol is not as easy as it seems.
Furthermore, I need to work on my new song, which means no sleep for me today. Again.
Idols are humans too; they can't spend all their time trying to be flawless and pleasing to the eyes of others. But influencing people with the music that we produce gives me exceptional satisfaction and contentment that nothing else can provide. This is what keeps me going, despite the hard life of an idol.
Namjoon comes to my studio with a purple folder- Baskin Robbins written in bold on it.
"Yoongi Hyung, I guess you're busy, so I won't take much of your time. Baskin Robbins is making a new ad and we will be spending a week on Jeju island for the photoshoot. So, we will be leaving after two days. I hope you're fine with the date?"
I'm surprised. "Again??? They released the recent ad a month ago. And they want us to act in another one?"
"Yeah.... not everyone is happy with it. Apparently, the company has a new concept this time. Hence the sudden announcement "
Great. Just what I need. Now I'm going to have to waste a whole week and postpone my new music production just because of an advertisement that won't even last for 2 mins.
Seo ah's POV
"Seo Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh good news!!!!!!! I bet you're gonna faint!" Ji Eun ecstatically screams.
Please tell me I can eat as much as I want to or please tell me she got me food. Like, that's what I hope for every day.
I was growing impatient, so I tell her to calm the hell down and tell me what exactly it is that got her so excited.
"Baskin Robbins- you know, the leading ice cream company- contacted our agency and chose you as their young and upcoming model for their new concept. Yay!!!"
Wait what! Am I dreaming? I pinch myself, just to be sure. Ouch, so okay, it isn't a dream. I start squealing and jumping around like a crazy monkey instead.
After a whole lot of happy crying and squealing like seals, all the while hanging off each other like demented sloths, we come back to our senses and she explains this 'new concept' to me.
Turns out, I will have a really small role in the first ad which will be featuring the one and only BTS and I will be the main model for the second ad that lasts all of 15 seconds. And we will be going to Jeju island for this shoot.
This will be a changing point in my life. Something tells me that after this ad my schedule will be filled with new possibilities. I have a strong feeling this will be a memorable event.
It's gonna be a long week.
