I placed a tray of breakfast down in front of a groggy Libby. She had woken up moments ago in her and Elijah's bed.

"Thank you," She said so quietly, only a Vampire would have been able to hear it. I sat down next to her as she ate her food.

I reached up and tucked some of her hair behind her ear. She stopped eating after a few bites. I frowned, wasn't it good?

"Is the food not good, love?" I asked.

"It's very good, Niklaus, but I'm just not hungry." She replied, pushing the tray away. I carefully removed the tray.

I pulled her into my lap, holding her close. She snuggled deeper into me, shivering, most likely from the cold.

I laid back in the bed, drawing her with me. She buried her face in my neck, hands around my chest.

I loved feeling her body heat, or lack there of at the moment, against me. I loved hearing her soft breathing, feeling the silk of her blue hair between my fingers.

She was so much like Holly, but so different. She was so lovely.

"You're lovely," I told her, smiling. She smiled softly in thanks before going back to frowning over Elijah.

Suddenly, I felt a burning in my veins, fangs, and jaw. I hadn't fed myself since before daggering my brother. I was starving.

"Here," Libby whispered, pulling bsck her Lapis Lazuli colored hair. I was shocked. She trusted me enough to feed from her?

I wanted her in every way. Carefully, I dug my fangs into her pale neck and withdrew her sweet blood. Her blood tasted delicious, better than even my very old flame, Vivianne's.

I grew hungrier by the second. I gripped her body as I hungrily withdrew her blood. Once I realized what I was doing, I drew back and tore a vein in my own wrist.

Libby sipped on my blood until she felt better. She then curled up next to me, almost like a cat. I wrapped her up in my arms as best as I could before falling back to sleep with her, wasting a perfectly good afternoon.
