Months had passed since the accident. Klaus had been more reserved and I hadn't had to use my wings for anything. Everything seemed fine.
Elijah took me to see Kayla's grave, then Elena's. I mingled with my friends for hours before Elijah decided we needed to go home.
Once home, Elijah surprised me with a dinner date. Since being human again, my appetite had increased for human food all on its own. Before I was a Vampire, I never ate much.
"My dear, I have something important to ask you." Elijah said. He looked slightly nervous, and had been the whole night.
"What is it?" I asked. I was rather confused and curious.
Elijah got up and moved closer to me. He got down on one knee and kneeled down. He pulled a box out from his suit jacket pocket and popped the top, revealing a gorgeous diamond ring. "From the moment I met you, I knew I had to have you. All those times you weren't here, I would have rather been dead. You are my life, my soul, my heart. You are the sun, moon, and stars. You are everything to me and I cannot live my life any further without asking you this: Will you marry me and be mine for eternity?"
"Of course, Elijah." I smiled. He grinned and held me close to him, placing a kiss to my forehead. He slipped the ring onto my finger. I admired the beautiful thing, smiling.
"I'd also like to change you... Into a Vampire." He said sheepishly, almost fearfully. Considering how last time went..
I nodded my head, slightly fearful myself. Yet, I knew Elijah wouldn't let anything happen to me.
Elijah bit into his wrist and held it out to me. I sipped on his blood until I had enough. He drew his wrist back and carefully placed his hands on either side of my head.
"See you in a bit, my love." Elijah said with a sad smile. Then, nothing.
When I woke up, I was cradled in Elijah's arms. He gave me my meal of blood to sustain me and finish off the transformation.
"I love you so much." Elijah said, holding me to him.
"I love you, too, Elijah and I can't wait to spend eternity with you."
