how do I tell you how are they like? we've only met twice. well, it's a he and he is smart and cute and really kind (i know what you're thinking). fine, may be kindness does return but i still don't believe in karma or magic or destiny or anything that sets us up for disillusionments.

also, i know you are a romantic at heart who pretends to be an adult who has everything in control when he hasn't. i know you are one of those rare people who understand that even bitter truths can be delivered with gentleness because it's one thing world is running short of. i also know you are that one mysterious genius that half of your office envies, half looks up to but everyone gossips about, while you sit in your corner and send emails to wrong addresses (just kidding, I hope i am the only one this sweet mistake happened with). anyways the point is i think i know something about you and i hope you know something about me too. Because i have told you T. I have told you more than I have told anyone in a long time (well, my crush definitely comes close to it but we haven't talked much so there's that). i think it's because we both are strangers, we can share things so easily. don't you think there's a sense of comfort in anonymity? to think that there's someone who hasn't seen you and yet, sees you more than people who see you everyday. doesn't it feel nice?

"hey" Sarawat's voice hits Tine's ears and he chucks his phone aside.

"hi.. how are you doing?" Tine asks and stiffens under the unexpected, awkward side hug initiated by Sarawat. his mind is still thinking about S's mail.

"good. how are you?"

Tine nods before turning his head towards the kitchen and shouts, "dad! how much time before the dinner?"

the answer comes from the inside, "not much to leave your old man alone in the kitchen and flirting on phone."

"I wasn't-" Tine stops and glances at Sarawat who is frowning for some reasons. and for some equally incomprehensible reasons, Tine feels a need to clarify it to him even though Sarawat didn't ask for explanation.

"don't mind dad" he says, chuckling, "he says weird things all the time."

"so you were not flirting with anyone on the phone?" Sarawat asks slowly.

"no i wasn't" Tine laughs, "who would I- let's.. let's go help dad in the kitchen."

Sarawat smiles and follows Tine.

at the dinner table, Tine eats too little and thinks too much.

dad really likes Sarawat a lot, i wonder how did they meet?

why do I keep feeling like I've seen Sarawat somewhere?

would it really be a good idea to suggest S that we meet? even after he's clearly said he prefers things this way. is he even a thai? urghh this is frustrating.

wow these sausages are really good. i wonder if Sarawat likes them too.

yes. he does. how wide his smile is right now. cute.

i wonder if S is also cute when he smiles. urghh no i shouldn't. it's going to hurt me and i will end up on a street crying again.

i wonder if i will ever meet that stranger again. what will I even say?

"TINE."

"huh?"

Mr. Teepakorn cocks a brow up, "where are you lost, love?"
