"Hey, look Midoriya got his quirk results yesterday, they say he might never develop a quirk." A child whispered into his friend's ears while pointing at a green haired boy, though it was loud enough that a certain blonde heard it.
"Useless as ever Deku, can't even get your own quirk to show up!? How pathetic" a group started snickering at the boy's comments.
"W-Why do you have to be so mean K-K-Kacchan" The greenette meekly muttered and glanced at the adults at the daycare. He received no response from them, while they didn't laugh at his expense like the other kids, they did nothing to stop them either.
"You will be nothing while I will become the number one hero! Honestly I feel bad for Auntie Inko, she has to raise a failure like you" Katsuki's hands popped up with mini-explosions and he could hear the crowd gasp and cheer at his gift. 'Of Course, I am the best, no one is better than I am!'
Izuku sobbed and wiped his eyes, "J-Just you wait Kacchan, when my quirk comes it'll be just as cool as yours! If not... I'll become a hero with or without a quirk!" He announced just before the ash-blonde swatted his lunch and walked away while the other kids ridiculed him.
A faint tear ran down his cheek as he remembered the last time he saw Izuku before today. Katsuki peered over the unnamed grave and felt himself break at the sight. It had been over ten years since he last visited this place.
'The bastard is alive and he developed a quirk... Just like he said he would'
"I-Inko and little I-Izuku are d-dead?" The broken voice of his mother came through his room, his eyes widened and he ran into the living room only to find his mom collapsed on her knees crying her eyes out while his father had a sombre look on his face as he talked on the phone.
"M-Mom?" He felt a salty liquid run down his face and a foreign emotion invaded his heart, he had never felt something like that before. It was like someone had ripped something away from him and he could never get that back.
"Ohh, Katsuki.. Come here" The boy jumped at her words and dived into the comforting embrace of his mother.
He remembered the state his mother was in that day, she had always cared deeply for both the Midoriyas and to this day, she visits their grave everyday. He had a myriad of questions going around his head, but he knew one thing, Izuku was responsible for her tears all this time. If the bastard had come back, maybe his mom wouldn't have cried herself to sleep every night. Maybe she would actually smile more often and be the snarky hag she was meant to be.
"That little shit better have a damn good reason to be alive and not come back, or I am gonna ruin him"

The next day Dagobah Beach,
Melissa found out that inheriting the greatest hero's quirk isn't going to be a walk in the park.
"You know, the view is quite nice from here! " All Might's voice resounded throughout the abandoned beach as he exclaimed from the top of a fridge "A little movement will make it nicer though!"
Melissa groaned as she tried her best to move the vessel, "It's a lot more difficult with you on top of it UncleMight"
"Oh shush, I have lost quite a bit of weight these days! " He laughed before muttering " Down to 255 kilos in this form anyway"
The younger blonde deadpanned, "Why am I dragging garbage across this beach?"
All Might hopped down and stretched his muscles, hearing a satisfying pop, he continued "Because you have a long way to go before you can be a suitable vessel"
