Welcome to the citadel

"Yes!" Responded Kaili . "I was in another world , and then something happened and a portal opened and sucked me in! With the paranormal stuff going on lately in my life, I wouldn't be surprised if I was the one who opened the portal!" She sighed. "I'm sure you don't believe me. No one does, except Daphne right here." She glanced at  Daphne and pointed at her with her index finger, who reacted with a nervous grin and a wave.
Omar bit her cheek as she was thinking... "And you're not playin' with me?"
If there was a chance that this girl could open portals, Aziel would be more than interested to meet her. Omar would really appreciate a raise right now. And being honest, she *does* look out of this world.
"No I'm not playing with you I promise! I also found out I have these powers...Well I think I do.. So, what happened is .. I manifested harm upon two people back in my world and what I manifested happened! One of them got hit by a truck and the other choked on glass just like I hoped them to!" Kaili explained.
Omar put her hands on her hips and sighed "It's been a while since I heard a thing about portals, but I do know it's possible to achieve dimension manipulation. If you ain't shitting me, you can tag along since I'm heading back to the castle. My brother will be more than happy to hear your story and maybe shed some light on the situation..."
"Yes!" cheered Kaili. She did not expect the running away circumstance to end up anywhere benefiting for her, but as she continued to talk to Omar, she realized it could lead to the end of her confusion, and maybe, like she said, shed some light. She stood excited and clenched her fists, happily moving her hands back and forth. "Low-key you're kinda nice miss! Miss..Miss what's your name? Well- actually what should we call you?" asked Kaili , while doing her happy little dance.
"Beat it, kid. Don't call me "miss"... I'm Omar, my friends call me Eva. So for now, it's Lieutenant Omar for both of you. And you...are?" She rose one eyebrow playfully.
"Oh , My name is Kaili..!" She smiled nervously and stopped doing her dance.
Omar nodded and looked at the other girl that hadn't said a word in a while. "I'm Daphne... Sorry to be noisy and such...but how come-" " Enough with the questions. Just keep them to yourself until we arrive at the citadel."
Kaili glanced at Daphne and smiled at her. She stayed quiet and waited for Omar's next commands.
Omar inspected the area around her one last time "Alright, girls... Follow me" and without another warning she started walking at a fast pace on the opposite direction.Kaili focused on her and immediately started following , grabbing Daphne by the hand. She was thinking about how much trouble she's probably caused her and about the fact that she's probably been just a burden to her.
About half an hour had passed and the citadel was finally visible a few miles ahead. Daphne's feet were starting to hurt. The Faye tribe were living in extreme poverty and the conditions were terrible. People were mostly seen on the roads trying to make an ends meet. However, the closer someone was to the centre, the more wealthier the people appeared. Some had slicked back hair, done with some expensive pomade , most were wearing fancy leathered clothes and some of them were wearing some kind of concorde that signified their financial power. Not only their financial power, but their power in general. That's why some of them were also heavy on guns. If you can protect yourself at any time, why not? That was their mindset. It did not mean anything officially but they liked wearing golden made accessories as a plus. Kaili was intimidated by their whole preppy appearance and stood close to Daphne, for protection. She didn't actually think Daphne could be of any help against them but she did feel protected. Ever since they met.
At last , they arrived at the citadel. The smell of fuel dominated the area and maybe it was the only odor you could smell as you walked around the citadel. Kaili's legs were giving up on her and so , she paused in the middle of the road to lean on Daphne's shoulder, who was about to collapse from exhaustion. It is truly the citadel, thought Daphne. She took a look around her and grinned in excitement. She could barely do a spin without her legs hurting but she did it anyway. Kaili stared at her and smiled as well. For her, the feeling that was most describing was relief. She would soon find a way to go back to her world and also understand what the freak is going on with those powers of hers. Or were they just pure coincidences?
No , they can't be , she thought. As much as she wanted to not be proven guilty of murder, she did feel like she was being showered with guilt. She felt that whatever happened to those two, happened because of her. And even though it could just be two coincidences, what about the portal? Who opened that portal and how, If not magic ? Yeah, that's right. I'm about to find out what is wrong with me, she thought once more and waited for her thought to come to life. Daphne on the other hand was examining the whole thing surrounding her, that being the people and the vibrations of the area. She's been to Crete before but the citadel? No, not once! This was a whole new experience for her, and she was ready for it. Besides the thoughts Kaili had regarding her powers , she was also bothered imagining what her mother is thinking right now. Does she think Kaili ran away? Does she think she's gone missing? She was worried. Yet, come to think of it, she always wanted to run away from home for once. As much as she loved her mom, the home environment was too much for her to bear.
