They eventually arrived to the motel in which they would like stay at. Kaili sat on her claimed bed first things first."Bottom bed is mine!" She announced. Daphne threw her bag on the upper bed and proceeded to climb the little ladder attached to it.
"Wow, I'm exhausted! Thank goodness this kind man found us someplace to stay. Even though the whole process was rather exhausting... Also is the bed making a noise or is it just me?" She jumps lightly on the bed and hears creaking noises coming from the bed. "Uh huh." Kaili responded, kind of scared of whether the bed will collapse soon or not. "This elderly couple looked at us so weirdly. I got the icks from talking to them."
"Don't be mean, Kaili! At least we have a place to stay!
"I'm just saying! I'm so tired I could even sleep on this bed!"
"It's not that bad! Plus! I'm getting to meet Aziel soon! Isn't that exciting?"
"It is! But I haven't fully grasped yet who Aziel is and why he's so important.."
"Well, he's the emperor of Crete and more! He owns pretty much most places I've ever heard of!" She said high as a kite.
"This didn't use to be the capital of the empire. I've heard stories where Aziel wasn't but just an ordinary guy who had powers! Like you! He helped the Faeries claim back their old land by killing the so called gods and so they cherished him by making him the emperor! He saved us from them!"
"I think I've seen this in a movie before or something, lol" she chuckles.
"Lol?"
"Lol!"
"Okay.."
"And so, what is he? Like what kind of species is he?"
"He's an omnipotent being!" Said Daphne stunned.
"Come again?" Asked Kaili.
"This means he's all powerful! He can do anything he wants whenever he wants! He's like, do you have a god in your own world?"
"We do but he doesn't visit, not often. He's also all powerful and loving"
"Well Aziel isn't exactly the most loving emperor. But he is our emperor and we appreciate him for everything so we can't complain much! Well, if we did it wouldn't turn out okay for us. Remember that patrol at the port?"
"The one that chased after us?"
"Yeah that one, including Omar. They work for him to make sure everyone is safe from the people that rebel against him."
"Oh wow! So he's truly our protector then!" She said kinda sarcastically.
A murmuring voice was heard from outside of the room. "Protector my ass, more like a tyrant." Kaili heard the voice of an old lady whispering outside of the door and so she approached, opening the door. The old lady who was sitting outside of the door eavesdropping got startled and shook a step back. "Oh! Girls, would you like to eat something? I made our homemade kasto in case you're hungry!" She smiled nervously.
"I could eat anything right now! Even whatever this is!" Kaili said and smiled at the anxious old lady. "Thank you miss" Kaili bowed.
"I'm bringing it right now! I'll be right back with your food, ladies!" She slowly walked away .
"I told you this elderly couple was weird!" Exclaims Kaili .
"Is this room not soundproof?"
"Apparently not!"
There was some water dripping from the roof and that night Kaili couldn't sleep. The sound kept bothering her ears. On the other hand, Daphne was fast asleep. One of them would be more well rested tomorrow.
And then tomorrow came.
The sun hadn't even risen yet and both the girls were awoken by some terrible noise coming from downstairs. They could hear several feet stompings and there was seemingly a commotion going on. Kaili stood up from her bed, being very annoyed by whatever woke her up, and then stepped out of the room to check what's going on. She got downstairs and spotted three guards grabbing the old lady by her arms and holding her tight and steady. The old lady's screams were now more clear.
"No! I promise ! I didn't say anything mean! Nothing bad about Aziel! He's our protector! Our- Our saviour!" She desperately shouted but the guards were forcing her still. Kaili looked confused and stared hiding behind the stairs. At the same time, the door was kicked open and a drunk Eva entered the room like a barbarian . "Rise and shine, bastards!! It's time to go out and enjoy the day!" Everybody froze.

"Lieutenant Omar!" Everyone but the old lady saluted. "Ey, what are you guys doing here? Partying without me? Where are ya hiding the booze?"
"Lieutenant! This lady was disrespecting our emperor! People saw her incensing a small crowd against him"
