- 4:56 PM You were lying in your room staring at your ceiling when you realized something. You were going on a date with a guy you just met out of pity.
"Robin was right." You'd sigh to yourself and you got up and stretched, deciding to go get ready. You got dressed into a red-ish orange floral button down with simple navy blue jeans. You slipped on your red converse and walked over to the trailers couch and watched a bit of TV while waiting. (The outfit inspo):

Around 40 minutes later you heard a knock on your door. Steve was standing there with a smile plastered on his face, he was wearing a a white shirt with a denim jacket on, plus simple blue jeans.
"You look great." He smiled "You don't look to bad yourself," You chuckled, putting a hand on his shoulder. Steve walked you to his car and opened the passenger door for you. You thanked him and climbed inside. Steve then turned on the engine of his car. You looked behind you and saw Eddie standing there on his porch with a cigarette in his mouth, it looked like he was staring at you and Steve but you couldn't tell. ———————————————————— When you guys arrived you realized you guys went to an arcade.
"Seriously? An arcade for a date?" You teased, nudging him. "Is there a problem?" He questioned.
You put your hands up in the air in defense.
"Nope, not at all officer." You teased again.
Steve chuckled and let you get out of the car yourself this time. Once the two of you guys walked into arcade you immediately spotted Pac-Man, it was one of your favorites! You immediately rushed over and realized you needed some quarters, you pulled your wallet out of your little black bag (it's like a backpack kinda but way smaller) and grabbed some quarters, for some reason, you liked to stash quarters.
You were on round three and doing so well, until the ghosts cornered you where there wasn't even that orb that you eat where it gives you permission to eat the ghosts! You groaned and stuffed your hands in your pockets.
"Haha, it's alright, you did good!" You heard Steve call behind you. Putting a hand on your shoulder. "Thanks." You replied, smiling at him, maybe he wasn't that bad, but again, this was just a pity date. Nothing more. ———————————————————— After a while You watched Steve play claw machine game, he won you a teddy bear with a big red bow. You smiled and thanked him. He smiled back at you, hanging out with him today was so sweet. You checked your watch and realized it was 6:00 PM!
"Oh shit! I have a 6:00 PM curfew since we moved here and they want me to get used to Hawkins before I get a later curfew." You'd sigh, realized you were about to get the scolding of a lifetime when you return. "Oh, do you want me to drive you home? Well I mean obviously! I brought you here—" Steve started to ramble. "I'd like that thanks." You smiled at him. ———————————————————————— Back home Steve parked the car and waved you goodbye as you walked to your trailer. "And where were you?!" Your mom's booming voice started as you closed the door. "On a date.." You muttered, gripping onto the teddy bear Steve had won for you. "A date?! We just moved here and we haven't even been here for more than three days!" Your mom yelled at you, pointing a finger to your chest. "I did it out of pity mom, I met this really nice guy and he couldn't get any dates which I could tell by some sign with about 7 tally marks on the You Suck! sign, I don't know." You explained. "Still! It's unacceptable! I can't believe you'd do something like this." Your mom yelled more, raising her voice more. You stared at her. "It's my life mom! You can't do anything about it!" You raised your voice at her. She raised her hand to slap you out of spite but your dad caught her. "Let's relax honey..we don't want that neighbor to get concerned." He said in a hushed voice. Your mom sighed and nodded. Sending you to your room.
You curled up on your bed and hugged the teddy bear your friend gave to you before you guys moved. Feeling tears start to leak from your eyes, you hated it when your mom yelled at you.
A few minutes later you jumped when a sound hit your window. You walked over to it and opened it and started to look around the area until Eddie popped up.
"HOLY—" Eddie covered your mouth with his hand before you could scream. "Don't get scared, I was just checking up in you, I heard your mom yelling at you." You stared blankly at Eddie realized you were crying earlier, you wiped away the tears, slightly embarrassed about someone seeing you cry. "It's okay, promise. So I was wondering. Wanna maybe, hang out tomorrow? So you could maybe get away from your mom for a bit?" You stared, slightly taken aback from the man's offer. You nodded and smiled. "Great! I'll meet ya by lovers lake!" Eddie pointed to the lake behind him, disappearing back to his trailer. You closed you window and went to bed. ———————————————————— Word count: 943.
