Uva awoke to the gruff sound of Annabel's voice.
"Wake up, sleepy head."
Uva sat up groggily.
"Eat." Annabel added as she shoved a plate of scrambled eggs and a couple sausage patties into Uva's hands.
Uva just stared at the plate for a second before looking up at Annabel. "Do I get a fork?"
Annabel smirked. "No, you can just eat like a pig."
Uva scowled.
Annabel chuckled then handed Uva a fork and knife. "Eat up before it gets cold. Also, I left you a change of clothes. You smell like you haven't changed or washed in years."
"I washed and changed my clothes recently." Uva muttered through a mouthful of eggs. After breakfast, she washed and put on Annabel's clothes. Uva frowned. Dress pants and a nicer t-shirt wasn't her style. Additionally, purple was not her color. She much preferred light green - the color of white grapes. Uva then decided it was time to leave the room. She opened the door to find Antonio and Annabel waiting for her.
"Took you long enough." Annabel remarked sarcastically.
"Well, it's not easy getting over your horrid fashion sense." Uva shot back.
"At least I have a fasion sense." Annabel retorted.
"Are you sure about that?" Uva countered.
"Girls," Antonio cut in, "we're here to go to Corona. Remember?"
"Right, let's go." Annabel breathed. Uva just rolled her eyes and followed as far behind as she could.
Upon reaching the clubhouse, Annabel pulled out a transporting device. She punched in the coordinates then hit the "go" button. A portal appeared in front of them. Annabel grabbed Uva's wrist and pulled her forward causing Uva to roll her eyes again. There was no way she'd ever want to join these people.
Once through the portal, Uva looked around. She couldn't believe the flourishing kingdom was once home to Segunda's DNA mom, Zhan Tiri. It was beautiful! Too bad she had to spend her time here with Annabel.
"Okay, Uva," Antonio grinned. "It's your time to shine." Uva raised an eyebrow. "Please tell us who we need to find." Antonio finished.
Uva smirked. "Why don't you gather Segunda's body pieces and ask her? She can read it."
Antonio frowned. "Uva"
"Thanks, why didn't I think of that?" Annabel interrupted.
"AB, please let me handle this." Antonio asked gently.
"I'm not helping you lot." Uva told him flatly.
"Okay, but I was going to offer you a chance at freedom. I guess you don't want it though." Antonio sighed.
Uva's interest was piqued. She looked at Annabel's shocked face and grinned. Any chance to get at Annabel was worth it. "I'm not saying I'm in, but I'll at least hear you out."
"Simply, you help us completely unravel the secrets of the scroll, and I'll let you choose whatever planet you want to live on. However, understand that you can't leave that planet without supervision."
Uva couldn't believe her ears. It'd be so easy to leave a planet without their knowing - if she chose one they didn't live on. They were basically handing her the ability to be completely free if she didn't get caught. How could she say no? She stopped. How could she say yes? Saying yes would be betraying Segunda. Unless, she discreetly threw them off the right trail and led them to a believable lie. Yes, it was perfect! "Okay, you have a deal."
Annabel looked displeased but kept her mouth shut. Uva shuddered then smiled. "Right this way. I'll take you to the man."
