Mk hid away in his apartment scared of what the others would think about his new.. problem. He had recently gone to the dentist to get his teeth looked at and he found out he needed.. braces.

His teeth weren't the best to look at but they weren't terrible, but he had to get them. He was going to work extra hard to pay for them, maybe even get another job. One thing he knows for sure is he can't show anyone, what if they make fun of him! The only people Mk has ever shown was wukong, tang and pigsy.

[Flashback]

"Tang I don't like them." Mk looked down on the ground and held his arms. "They look fine Mk don't worry about what other people are gonna think." Tang put a hand on his shoulder. Pigsy ruffled his hair "yeah don't worry about it kiddo you can't even tell!" Pigsy gave a comforting smile. " Thanks guys.." Mk looked up and gave a weak smile.

[with wukong]

"Heeey they look great bud! It's gonna hurt so just take it easy these couple of days, don't worry about people judging you, lots of people get em'! It's no big deal" wukong side hugged him. It made Mk feel a bit better.

Right now Mk was in his apartment sitting on his bed looking up at the ceiling. 'What do I do..' Mk thought, he frowned and got up from his bed and groaned at the pain in his mouth. Mk was hungry but knew he couldn't really eat anything, heck even eating a marshmallow hurts! (It's true y'all I have braces 😧) so he figured he could eat some soup and just chill inside of his apartment.

A few days had passed and Mk hadn't come out of his apartment. People like mei and pigsy tried to reach out to him but Mk wouldn't budge. "Man I wonder why Mk is so bummed, I'm so worried but I'll give him some space." Mei frowned. Tang and pigsy forgot that mei and Sandy didn't know about Mk having braces. Heck not even red son knew, but tang and pigsy came up with a plan.

Tang sat at the counter-bar.. thingy, and turned towards mei "hey you have red sons number right?"

Tang took Mei's phone and called him up, the phone rung..and rung. Until finally red son picked up with an annoyed tone "what do you want dragon girl?" Red sons voice came from the other side of the phone. Instead of hearing Mei's voice red son heard tang which caught him off guard. "Hey red son do you think you could stop by? Mk has been acting a bit weird lately.. and some things definitely wrong." Tang said acting like he had no idea what could be up with him.

as soon as tang finished that sentence the phone abruptly hung up and a new presence suddenly appeared into the room. Little bits of flames disappearing as he teleported into the shop. "Red son!" Tang greeted. "Hello Mr. Tang" red son stiffened up, still feeling like he has to be formal around Mk's 'dads'. "Oh drop the formalities red son I'm not that old" Tang laughed. Pigsy gave him a side eye as if saying 'yes you are' Tang glared at him the quickly turned over to red son. "Anyway you need to find a way to get through to Mk he's really banged up about the whole thing.." Tang put his hands on his hips. "Wait do you know what's going on?" Red son questioned.
