History/Quick backstory: Nova was flying back to her home planet when she crashed on Earth. Surprisingly she wasn't discovered along with the remnants of her ship. By staying on the edge of a town she observed some creatures, eventually crafting a glamour that would pass for one of them. She entered the town and wandered in panic, learning the strange language as she went.
