Soulmate AU where everyone is born with a ring on their finger, the color of the ring indicates the emotion that your soulmate is going through. For example : red is anger, yellow is happy, blue is sad, love is purple, grey is fear, and green is envious or disgusted.

When you finally meet your soulmate the ring turns pink

And when they die, it turns black and falls off your finger, becoming dust

just imagine you in your bed staring at the ring, and all of a sudden it goes black. you turn on the light to make sure it's not actually black, but to your dismay it is.

You grieve for someone you haven't even met

You kissed Eddie back, of course, you did, it was about time as well. You two waited long enough that he's wanted for a murder that he didn't even do and you're over here protecting him with a machete you stole from your dad's old stuff- that doesn't really matter though. 

You kept kissing him before you both pulled away for air, "wow," he said as you smiled, "I've wanted to kiss you for a while," he admits.

"Oh yeah? Why don't you kiss me again?" You asked as you leaned in and kissed him once again.

"You know what Y/N L/N?" Eddie asked you.

You looked at him, "yes, Eddie Munson?"

"We may go down together or we may live forever," he shrugged, "but we should try to live our lives to the fullest until then."

You smiled, "how do we do that while hiding?"

"All I need is you, sweetheart," Eddie told you.

You moved cuddled closer to Eddie, "sounds good to me."

Eddie just held you as you two fell asleep like this.

You had woken up with a nightmare that next day, it was about your father, you just shook it off as you had Eddie right next to you asleep making you smile. 

As the day went on you two were kind of bored but not really because you had each other, he wrapped his arms around your waist as he pulled you down into the boat, "Eddie!"

"Shh, we're supposed to be hiding," he reminded you before placing kisses on your cheek making you laugh.

You turned your head sideways and kissed him, after your first kiss, it was over for the two of you soulmates. It already was becoming a regular thing with you two. 

That was when you both heard a vehicle, he ducked as you did too, "is that the others?" he asked quietly.

You shrugged, wouldn't they have radioed in? You crouched and snuck to the window to see it was Jason and his jock assholes. "Shit."

"Hey, Dustin, you there?" Dustin asked into the walkie, "it's Eddie, you remember me, right?" you just looked at him in worry, if they find you two they will try to kill him, not that you'd just sit back and let them hurt your soulmate, "hey, if anyone's there, I really think I might be in a bit of trouble here. Okay? Wheeler?" You shook your head wondering where they were, "anybody?!"

"We need to think of a way out," you say to Eddie as you look at the boat.

"Dustin, please, are you there?" He asked one more time before he looks at the boat as well, "nevermind."

Just as they left the boat house you and Eddie had paddled a good 20 yards away in the lake, "holy shit."

"Hey, freak!" Jason called out making Eddie look at you then at them, you looked at them as the jock just glared, "freak's bitch! Where do think you two are going?"
