RYE SLOWLY OPENED her eyes, she was scared. Where was she? Rye studied the room, she saw a hospital bed a blue curtain, and a familiar smell. Rye knew the smell of a hospital, but how did she get here? Rye felt around and she almost pressed the nurse button when the curtain opened. ¨Oh! Your awake, how are you feeling?¨ The nurse said, long dark curls flowing from her slim hair. ¨I'm kind of tired, and dazed. What happened?¨ Rye said, looking at the multiple I.V.'s  and devices on her. ¨Doctor! She's awake!¨ The nurse called, then she gave a solemn gaze towards Rye. ¨You were attacked at Black-Bridge Amusement Park. And we have two investigators to interview you on the event once you are ready.¨ Rye didn't remember ever being attacked, she remembered that she went to Black-Bridge, and she met Mason, and hung out with the guys for a bit. But past that? Nothing. The wounds on her body prove that she was attacked. ¨I'ḿ ready.¨ Rye said, she wanted to get that part out of the way. She always hated that part, but the people were usually nice. ¨Hello, how are you feeling Mrs. Fox?¨ A blonde doctor with deep gray eyes says. ¨Who are you?¨ Rye said, slowly lifting herself upwards but then she felt a sudden hot flashes of pain in her whole body. Rye whimpered loudly and tried to lower herself down. ¨I'm Doctor Charlie Erickson, i'm here to help. Don't move, i'll get you so pain medication.¨ Dr. Erickson said with a reassuring voice. Rye whimpered in response again as her chest burned again with hot flashes. Then, doctor injected a syringe into one of the I.V.'s and quickly, almost instantly, the pain faded into a dull ache with a slight throbbing. Her chest felt lighter and she felt so tired.

Rye was scared of falling asleep.

¨I'll bring them in.¨ The doctor says and opens the curtain but then turns on his heel. ¨If you need anything, let me know, or press the call button.¨ He says, then he opens the curtain and exits then shutting it. While Rye was sitting by herself, she tried to remember what had happened, but all she remembers from that night was a doll that looked like her. Even then, the doll was a loose thread, not giving anymore clues to that night. Rye took a soft and deep breath, she was so tired that she saw the breath she exhaled turn into a cloud above her.

Then, the curtain opened again and Rye looked at the two figures who had entered the room. One with dark brown waves, and a long brown overcoat with a dark turtleneck, and dark slacks. The other one with deep black curls going all the way past her shoulders, wearing a jean jacket that cut off before her stomach and dark blue jeans. She wore a camera around her neck. ¨Hello, are you Rye Fox?¨ The woman said, her voice quiet and calm. ¨I am.¨ Rye said dryly. The male slid the curtain shut and the pair pulled up two seats to sit in front of Rye's hospital bed. ¨Hello, Rye, I am Madison Emily.¨ Madison said, giving a small wave since she must have noticed that Rye couldn't lean forward with white hot pain coursing through her. ¨I'm Joe Clark, how are you today?¨ Joe say giving a nod. ¨I shouldn't ask that, sorry. Your most likely feeling like shit.¨ Joe said with a certain tone of comedy and seriousness. ¨Joe, we talked about this language when we talk to people.¨ Madison warned gently. ¨Sorry, Mads.¨ Joe said quickly. ¨I'm okay.¨ Rye said quietly and Madison smiled a bit. ¨We're glad. But, we have some questions for you. Is that okay?¨ ¨It's alright, go ahead.¨ Rye said dryly as she leaned back.

¨First question, do you remember anything about that night?¨ Madison says calmly.

¨I remember I called someone, then I went to the cabin they were staying at and before they let me in I talked to...someone for a bit and then I went inside and I hung out with...someone and then I talked to someone really late and then I remember a doll that looked like me but, it had a black dress and a golden bow around it's waist. Then, it's all foggy.¨ Rye said solemnly, still wracking her brain for answers.

¨I get that things might be a bit foggy. Thank you for trying.¨ Madison said reassuringly. ¨I know I can remember it's just...I can't.¨ Rye said with a bit of sadness.  ¨Don't stress yourself out, you're still healing, mentally and physically. Take your time, you don't have to remember today.¨ Joe said with a comforting voice and gentle hazel eyes give a soft gaze towards her.
