Chapter 4: May I have this dance?

Hey again!! This chapter is gonna have more Amourshipping moments in it, seeing that this story lacks these moments thus far. I wanted to do like a "ball" kind of chapter, mainly because I was a bit pissed that Ash and Serena didn't dance in that specific episode of XYZ. But, I'm happy with the way this has turned out, and I hope you guys enjoy it! :)

"The winner of this year's Master Class, to be crowned this year's Kalos Queen, is......, Performer Serena!!!" Monsieur Pierre finally revealed. The audience burst into loud cheers for the newly-crowned Kalos Queen. As for Serena, she was dumbfounded, not believing what she had heard. I... I actually won? Once she finally comprehended and confirmed what she heard, she started jumping for joy. "We did it! We actually did it!" Her pokemon shared their trainer's joy, proud of her for the progress she made ever since the start of the journey. Aria also walked towards Serena, and said, "Well, it is about time a new Kalos Queen was crowned. Good job Serena, you really deserve this." She held out her hand, and Serena shook it. "Thanks Aria, you were a great competitor. Hope to see you soon in the future."

Just then, Klefki put the Kalos Queen crown on Serena's head, and Monsieur Pierre silenced the crowd. He asked Serena, "How does it feel like to be our new Kalos Queen?" Serena thought for a few seconds, and answered, "It just feels so surreal. I want to thank my pokemon and my friends, for I would never have gotten to the position I am right now without your help. But most importantly, I want to thank a certain boy. He was the one who helped me to find this dream in the first place, and his constant support and advice has helped me to never give up and carry on. He is the main reason I won this. To that boy, thank you so much." Ash, who had well known she was talking about him, blushed at what she said. He never knew he was of that much importance to Serena, and was moved by her sincere words. He smiled afterwards, and muttered under his breath, "Your welcome, Serena."

Back on the stage, Monsieur Pierre snickered, "Well well well, it looks like our Kalos Queen is onto someone in this room. Maybe we'll find out who that is later on. For the rest of you, I thank you for joining us today, and look forward to seeing you again soon! However, for the Master Class performers, we made sure you guys won't go home empty-handed, so we are organising a ball exclusively for you, and you can bring your friends along too! See you then!" Serena lightly blushed and looked at Ash for a second. She remembered the missed opportunity to dance with Ash during the dance party a few weeks ago, and she really wanted to do so this time. As for Ash, he sweat dropped, thinking to himself, "Great, more dancing. Well, I might as well embrace the moment while I can."

The whole gang reunited outside the castle, and Bonnie immediately hugged Serena, congratulating Serena on her win while basically jumping for joy. Clemont also congratulated her afterwards. Serena's eyes then met Ash's, and both trainers hesitantly smiled at each other. Clemont, noticing this, became increasingly worried about Ash's behaviour. The gang then separated again to fully prepare themselves for the ball later that evening.

"Yay! I am so excited, another dance party!" Bonnie exclaimed. Serena chuckled at Bonnie's enthusiasm, glad that at least someone is positive about the upcoming ball. To Serena's horror, however, Bonnie turned to face Serena with a snicker on her face, and continued, "You should also be extremely happy about this, right Serena? You get to dance with your one and only." Serena blushed heavily, and frantically tried in vain to deny what Bonnie had just said. Bonnie then turned around laughing, running towards the dress shop. Once she had calmed down, Serena sighed, and went on to follow Bonnie. "She's 9... How does she know everything about romance already?" Serena wondered.

Serena wandered aimlessly around the dress shop. There was no doubt she wanted to impress Ash and dance with him, so she wanted a dress that was better than what she wore at the previous dance party. Bonnie then joined Serena, and asked, "Looking for a pretty dress huh? You really do love Ash, do you?" Serena was startled by the sudden question, and turned down to face Bonnie. Her face showed that she really was concerned and wanted to help, and Serena was touched by this. She replied, "I really do. There is just so much to admire about the guy. His determination, confidence and kindness. There is no reason to not love him at all. I really want to get a dance with him, and hopefully he will finally realise something."
