(This video low key explains my aesthetic/style)(And so does this picture)
Ok this is gonna be a lot to explain. But to explain in the shortest possible way my style is definitely bubblegum/brat coquette. I love y2k and I love the color pink! My main inspirations/style icons are Cher Horowitz and Dionne davenport from clueless. (Duh!)
I take a lot of inspo from characters like Maddy perez. (but only season 1 cause she dresses more feminine and in lighter colors) Lolita (1997), Ashley banks & bratz dolls. And recently Virginia from claws.
I also take little hints of gyaru or Japanese fashion in general. Really just any girly sub style I enjoy.
I love pastels and focus the most on y2k and 70s influences. Yet somehow my style comes off as very 90s although that was never the intent. And a lot of those "mean girl" characters like Sharpay and London. I always feel the most like myself when I dress like that. To be more specific in fall and winter I dress straight out of clueless and summer and spring I turn into this sort of Lolita creature but more pink and less red. And another thing I hate anything that makes me look older. (Although I get mistaken for an adult a lot)
And the video I linked above kind of explains this. Because I dress so inspired by movies and shows like gossip girl and clueless. That way of dressing is so appropriate for my age that I am seen as intimidating to my peers. And I end up seeming like I'm older because I dress so put together whereas the average teenager would throw on a hoodie some leggings and air forces and call it a day.
Another side to my style is that I have recently found this corner of the internet for girly girls and I truly love it. The main like popular accounts are @dreamgirlarchive and @angeldiscovery on tumblr. So I've been incorporating elements of that style cause it's low key combines all the types of fashion I like!
