It's been two days since Harry had dinner with the guys. He's been so conflicted ever since so he asked Mary if he could stay at home Thursday and Friday to sort his head out.

Yes, Louis suddenly didn't like avocados, but it's not like he even remembers or knows why. Maybe this is all they'd get? Just Louis hating avocados. After the talk with Zayn in the bathroom he had decided he would bare the pain if that's what it takes to still be in Louis life, he just didn't know how to do it. How would he even act? he'd never have to worry about that around Louis before, everything came so naturally with them. But now, everything's so different, he's supposed to just be friends with the love of his life. He wishes he could just give up and be causal about it all, just friends. But ever since Louis mentioned that damned avocado in the restaurant Harry can't smother that glimmer of hope in the back of his mind.

He's called Gemma over, she's always been good at helping Harry through all his emotional roller-coasters. While Harry is very emotional and wears his heart in his sleeve, Gemma is more practical and logical.

When Gemma finally arrives, Harry offers her some tea and they sit down by the kitchen island.

"You need a shower" she says and takes a sip of his tea

Harry pinches his shirt between his fingers and brings it to his nose, he scrunches his nose realizing she's right.

"Sorry"

"Don't worry. How have you been?"

"I went to dinner with the guys two days ago, Louis too."

Gemma puts her teacup down and turns to him

"And?"

"He still has no idea who I am, thinks I'm a friend of Niall's."

"I'm sorry Harry, I know this suck."

"At least I get to see him. I've decided I'm going to try and be friends with him."

"What do you mean friends?" Gemma pinches her brows together, tilting her head a little

"At least that way I get to see him. Even if he doesn't remember me. I'll remember for the both of us."

"Yeah, I get that. It's just..." Gemma picks up her teacup again

"Just what?"

"Why are you going to settle being his friend?"

"He doesn't remember, Gem. I can't force him into a relationship with someone he doesn't know."

"That's not what I'm saying you sod. Make him fall in love with you again."

"WHAT?" Harry almost drops his teacup, snapping his head to look at her

"Just make him fall in love with you again."

"And how do you expect me to do that?"

"I don't know." she shrugs "I don't know how you did the last time either but you did. He loved you Harry, so much. Neither of you have changed. He might not remember everything but he's still the same guy that fell in love with you before. Just be you, don't think too much."

"You make it sound so fucking easy"

"I'm sorry, it probably won't be, and I can't guarantee it will work. But isn't it at least worth a shot? If you just give up, you're always going to wonder 'what if'. I think you owe it to yourself and most of all Louis. Don't give up on him Harry, you know he would've fought till the end for you."

Harry gets up, putting their cups in the sink. She's right though, all this pain he's gone through these past weeks thinking he's lost him forever. He has to at least try.
