Something New... (TanZen story)

Hospital

Zenitsu opened his eyes a bit, looking around the room. He sat up slightly, looking at the IV in his hand. He had stitches and a bandage on his head, and a brace around his torso.

Zenitsu sat up more, getting a better look around the hospital room. He held his heand and looked at the floor a bit, closing his eyes to keep himself from passing out from sitting up. He came back after a second and the door opened, a doctor walking in, talking to Tanjiro.

"So he should be alright." The doctor nodded.

Tanjiro nodded and looked at Zenitsu, smiling. "You're awake."

Zenitsu nodded a bit, memories coming back to him about what had went on. "Sorry...."

Tanjiro walked over and hugged him. "Don't be. None of this is your fault."

Zenitsu hugged him back, closing his eyes.

(Timeskip)

"What happened to Kaigaku?" Zenitsu asked, taking his shoes off.

"The cops took him into custody." Tanjiro said.

He nodded a bit.

"Do you want anything to eat?" Tanjiro asked.

Zenitsu nodded. "Yes please."

Tanjiro nodded and went to the kitchen.

"I'm gonna use the bathroom." Zenotsu said.

"Alright."

Zenitsu went to the bathroom and shut the door, sitting against it and trying to think. He put his head in his hands, trying not to cry. He was alright now, so what was he so upset about? The fact that Kaigaku was gone for good? He didn't want to bother Tanjiro but he didn't want to leave either. He loved him. He felt horrible about what happened though.

"Zenitsu? Are you alright?" Tanjiro asked, knocking.

The door opened and Zenitsu hugged him, burrying his face in Tanjiro's neck. "I love you."

Tanjiro was a bit surprised for a second, but smiled, hugging Zenitsu back. "I love you too."
