I requested all the maids to go out of the room. With fear in their eyes, they all went out. I closed all the doors and windows.

Just why? Why am I alive?

What am I supposed to do?

I had many questions in my mind, and I was confused too. While thinking, I saw a knife near the bed. Without a thought, I just took it and stared blankly at it. After a few minutes, I just used it to kill myself again. After cutting the pulse in my hands, I closed my eyes to embrace death.

But strangely, I survived and woke up in the same bed as yesterday with bandages in my hand. Again, I tried to kill myself by jumping off the window, but why did I survive again? Every attempt towards death was becoming a failure.

I asked God why I couldn't get my wish granted; I just wanted to die, but why the hell am I surviving every time? For me, living had no value, as everything is fake. For me, death was the only thing I yearned for.

After the failure of 15 attempts during those damn 15 days of my reincarnation, I realised something. Maybe she or Elsie, the body she reincarnated, will only die after the end of this shite novel. On

the 16th day of my being here, I called a maid early in the morning to ask something.

When she arrived, she just kept her head down and did not even look at my eyes. I questioned myself if Elsie was that scary, but I removed all these thoughts and simply asked her what my age was. She looked quite shocked but immediately replied, "My Lady, you are 16 years old now."

If I recall correctly, the novel will officially begin after two years when Elsie reaches the age of 18, the age at which she will realise everything is a lie and happiness is just a word!

I asked the maid to leave and, without any emotions, I bluntly said, "Only 2 years after that I can finally be free." But, "Am I supposed to go through all those hellish days back on Earth again? Remembering those only gave me a sharp pain in my heart. Then I decided it was just 2 years. I can endure it and, after that, I can welcome death!
