It was almost morning. I opened the window and gazed out at the magnificent garden of the ducal house, there was a knock at the door and the maid came in to inform me that the ducal family would be visiting the Royal Palace today and that I would be accompanying them.I didn't open my mouth. The maid began to tremble, maybe because of the expressionless face of mine. After a few minutes deciding what to say, I finally opened my mouth to say that I would not go. The maid became speechless upon hearing it, as whenever any Nobel family gets an opportunity to visit a royal palace, they all get excited to win some favours. But seriously, that doesn't matter to me. As for me, meeting new people means they always wear a mask on their face, hiding their true self and only showing what they want to show. I had enough of this from my past life and didn't want to meet any of those people. That's why I declined it.
After some time, the maid finally understood my words and finally went to inform the Duke. I thought I could rest for a while, but why did the maid come back again and began saying it's an order by the Duke that she cannot decline it and she has no choice but she has to go , what the hell is wrong with this family? Didn't their blood boil whenever they see her? Then why the hell do they want to go with her?
I declined it again, and the maid had no choice but to go back to Duke for this matter, and finally the Duke appeared in front of me, leaving behind his work just to tell me if I don't go I might get punished, and rather than being afraid, I got excited thinking maybe the punishment can help me to move towards getting forever eternal peace, so I said ok, just give me punishment.But after the Duke got speechless, he finally opened his mouth and said something that I was not expecting and all my hopes went in vain. Why the hell did he say that if I don't go, it will be my servants who will be punished?
I thought why the hell, if he wants to give punishment, just give me. Why the hell involve other people when they are not at fault? I am not a person who wants to see others suffer without any wrongdoing, as even in my past life, I didn't expect something like this to happen to anyone. I saw the maids' faces being very terrified and almost tears in everyone's faces,so I didn't have any choice but to agree .
At last, I finally agreed.
