Chapter 30

Tia Pov
August has really been tripping for the last couple days. We had to cut the trip short but I did get to catch up on lost time with my friends but of course August stayed inside the room instead of coming with me but it's whatever. This is the month of his late brother's birthday so I'm going to take it easy on him because I know he is sad and me nagging him all day isn't going to help him get any happier. August says that he is okay but I know that he may end up crying his self to death if don't take him out the house, so on his brother's birthday we are getting out the house. He talked about before that he wanted to go back to Houston one day to reunite with his family but he didn't actually go so that's something I'm thinking about to get his mind off the death of his brother. I think he would really appreciate it because I see that he misses his family, well mostly his nieces, his late brother's children. August is currently at his apartment sleeping I guess because school is tomorrow and I know he needs his rest.
Speaking of sleeping, I need some, I haven't gotten any since I woke up and I'm tired as a bihh. I turned on Pandora and changed it to my calm music to help me fall asleep.

"I'll never be good enough to pay your dues but I keep tryinggg"
I was woke up by the sound of good enough by Empire"s Jussie Smollett, I turned it off and slid out of bed and stretched before heading to my bathroom to get ready . I did my Morning routine then went to my closet to find something to wear. Then told Tiana I was ready and we headed out the door
*bell rings
I hurried to my first class before my Math teacher, Mrs. feathers catches me. I made it two seconds before she came in. Sitting down I spotted August in the back of the classroom writing in his notebook. Harmony was sitting two seats behind me and Chris was in the back with August, China,well let's not speak on her.
"Did you do Mr.flight's homework ?" Harmony whispered to me
"Yeah, 1 through 20, right?"
" yeah ,Lemme copy"
I search through my pink binder for my homework for Harmony.
"Here" I handed her my paper and continued listening to the teacher.The teacher announced that we have a end of the year project about any desired appropriate topic coming up and will need a partner, I instantly looked at Aug because I already knew he was gonna make me his partner. Chris pared up with Harmony.
"Every one pick your partners and go to a table and discuss the topic you are picking" Mrs.feathers announced to the class.
I went to the table Aug was sitting at with my books and binder in my hand and sat down in the seat next to him.
"So Aug I was thinking we should do a project on how black males are treated and why so many drop out"
"so how we gone set that up"
"Well you can buy the poster board and supplies and I'll do the research and we can decorate the board together"
"So what you saying is, you don't think I'm smart enough to do the research"
"No, what I'm saying is, I know how lazy you are and you are not gone wanna do all that research"
"How you know"
"Because I'm with you almost everyday"
"Oh yeah"
I chucked and we got back to work
"So whatchu plan in doing for Mel birthday ?"
"Sit in the house, play some sad ass songs, and smoke a couple blunts,"
" august that's not healthy "
"A couple blunts ain't never hurt nobody"
"actually it has, and your not gonna be one of them"
" so what you suggesting"
" you know how you been saying that you miss Houston and your family"
"Yeah,okayy"
"I was thinking we could visit there for couple days so you won't be cooped in the house all day being sad"
"I'm down but how and wit' what money, is you forgettin' we only 17"
"No, that's why I asked Tiana, she was cool with it l, I just needed your approval"
"when we going ?"
"2 days before his birthday and were gonna stay two days after"
"Cool"
40 minutes passed and it was time for us to go to related arts
we were now heading to gym.
"Aug!" I yelled
He turned and waited for me to catch up with him
"Wassup"
"You wanna come over today ?"
"Yeah, y'all got something to eat"
"Ahahaa yeah, don't we always" I laughed
"Yup, until I get a hol' of that shit"
"True " I agreed

We walked to gym in comfortable silence with China and Chris behind us flirting as usual.
Harmony Pov
"Stop Chris" I laughed as Chris keep grabbing my butt
"why girl you know you like it"
"Ouch stop "
We could never have a day when Chris doesn't touch my butt. I swear he is a mess.
We were now on our way to gym and we could've been there in less than five minutes but with the "help" of Chris we got there late because of his shenanigans.
"Why are you two late" Coach Paul questioned
"Mrs.Feathers held us back" Chris lied
"Don't let it happen again, you two go change into you gym clothes" I grabbed my clothes out of my backpack and headed to girls locker room to change

August Pov
I was out of breath from running Laps so I took a break on the bleachers. I wiped the sweat off my forehead and took a drink of my water bottle.
"alsina, why you sitting, keep going, quitting for punks come on"
I sighed and got back up and ran two more laps.
"Okay guys that's enough running for today y'all can sit down now" coach Paul yelled
I took a seat next to Chris and Tia
I caught Chris starring at Harmony's ass
"My man gotta lil crush, I see ya"
I slapped his hand
"I wouldn't call it a crush but you know"
"Y'all some fools " Tia interrupted
"It's just boy talk you wouldn't understand" chris replied
"Boy shut up"
Chris and I. Laughed and Harmony joined us and sat next to Chris
I smirked at Chris and his silly ass busted out laughing
"What's funny we wanna laugh" Harmony said
"Nothing just boys talk" Chris said
"Chris if you don't shut yoo" Tia said
We joked and chilled until it was time to leave

"Y'all got some hot sauce " August asked with a bowl of shrimp in his hands.
"Yeah it's in the top right cabinet"
He reached in the cabinet and got some hot sauce then pouring nearly the whole bottle on the shrimp then sitting next to me on the couch.
I changed it to netflix and put on "High school " with Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg
We got comfortably wrapped around each other while watching the movie and August smacking on his shrimp.
"Danggg that shrimp ain't going nowhere, you can slow down "
"Shut up" he hit the back of my head before smacking on another one .
"august don't make me hurt you"
"You couldn't if you tried"
"Cocky ass" I said before taking one of his shrimp. He smacked my hand making me drop the shrimp back in the bowl
"Go make your own, I'm hungry "
"You got that august with yo selfish ass"
"Okay you can have ONE" he yelled one so I purposely got two
"I said one "
" let's just watch the movie"
We snuggled together and watched the rest of it until he drifted off to sleep on my shoulder .

Crappy way to end the chapter, yeah I know but I know this update is longggg over due. I'll try to update faster but I know for a fact that the updates for this week will be slow because I have a state test for the rest of the week and I have to go to sleep early so I won't have time to update.
