Ever since will moved away he always felt a part of him was missing he never knew why. Maybe he just missed his friends especially Mike.

He stared at the white eraser on his desk. He was lost in his own little world until he heard a voice yell his name causing him to pop his thinking bubble.

"William byers!" The teacher said looking angrily at the boy
"Don't you think if you payed more attention in class you would actually learn something!"
"I- I'm sorry Mrs Gonzalez.." he said standing up straight

"If your so smart answer this" she said pointing at the chalk board with her black marker

Will sighed
Great. He thought, he has already managed to make the teacher mad
"Well?" The teacher said

It was abvious the teacher was trying to embarrass him

He got up and walked to the front

He felt shivers as if everyone in the class was staring at him

He took the marker and started solving the problem.
It was quite easy but of course he doesn't have guts to tell the teacher how easy it was.
After he wrote down the problem he walked back to his seat.
"Correct will" the teacher said surprised as she moved to the next lesson

The last bell rung as I got up to get my backpack i felt a hand tapping his shoulder. I turned to see a beautiful boy with brown hair and these green eyes that saw through my heart.

"Hey uh your will right?" He gave me a warm smile

"Yeah-" I said my cheeks turning red
He was the school popular bully but for some reason he was talking to me- will byers- of all people

"I'm Derek, wanna be friends?" He said putting his hand out for me to shake
"Sure!" I said smiling and shaking his hand
"If you want you can hang out with me and my friends after school if you want" he smiled letting go of my hand
"Sure I would love to!-" I said surprised

He grabbed my hand and pulled me outside of the classroom. I followed him outside as I saw a group of jocks
"Will meet my friends" he smiled
His friends were oddly intimidating nothing compared to Derek. His friends started walking away

"We are getting icecream, coming?" He said giving me that sweet smile
"Sure!" I said following him.

Maybe this is my chance to make new friends? I thought

We reached a small icecream shop not that far away from school and ordered icecream
"Here il pay for yours" he smiled at me as he handed the cashier money.

"Thanks" I smiled as I grabbed my icecream and sat next to him with his friends

"Vanilla is such a boring flavour" his friend said laughing at me
"Can't go wrong with the original Dave" Derek chuckled.
"Seriously you never can go wrong with vanilla" I laughed as I ate my icecream

After we finished Derek offered to walk me home.
Derek was so sweet and nice. Even if he wasn't nice to other people except his friends he was nice to me and that made me feel special did I like Derek?
