JAKE DAWSON:

I sat on my bed patiently. Would she even show? Was I too stupid for asking? Wait why did I even ask her to come to my room? I could've asked someone else.

There's no way she's actually co-

*knock knock*

I scramble up and walk over to the door, opening it quitely and seeing Gabi.

"Oh. I didn't think youd actually come?"

"What you think I'd skip out?", she asks sitting her bags down on the floor.

"Maybe."

She laughs, sitting on the edge of my bed. "No. I have nothing better to do."

She looked so effortlessly pretty. Wait Jake Ryan Dawson, stop thinking those things right now.

"Earth to Jake?", Gabi says waving her hand in front of me.

"Oh sorry. You wanna go sit in the hottub and listen to music?", I ask immediately regretting it.

"Sure.", she says. "Let me get changed first."

Shocked at her response, I nod. And head out onto the balcony where the hottub sat. I turned the heat up, and turned to jets on to a perfect speed.

I sat in the hottub, feeling the satisfying waves from the jets underwater.

I reach over and grab my phone.

"In the Stars", by Benson Boone started playing softly in the background.

I leaned my head back and relaxed.

"mind if I join now?", gabi's soft voice says.

I open my eyes and nod.

I had to refrain from dropping my jaw on the floor as I studied her. She was beautiful. Her nice toned and tan body, her hair, her eyes, she was perfect.

Jake focus!!

"So um....any song suggestions?", I ask.

She leans back adjusting herself. "No. Just let the music play."

I smile, and close my eyes doing as told.

For a while, we just sat there, nothing but silence. Songs by chase atlantic, lana del ray, olivia rodrigo, and others played.

"Woah. Who knew you had such a girly playlist.", gabi says breaking the long silence.

"Well maybe I'm not like most guys.", I reply.

"Mmm.", she laughs. "I think you are shorty."

"Whatever.", I chuckle crossing my arms. "Say something good about me."

"Hmm I don't think there's anything food about you.", she jokes.

I whine. "Not cool, and not funny."

For a while me and Gabi just talked. We never seemed to run out of things to say. She was so easy to talk to, and a good listener too. Before we knew it midnight rolled around.

"You got all your stuff?", I ask.

"Yes. And thank you once again, for uh...keeping me company."

I smile. "Pretty sure I'm the one who should be saying that. But your welcome."

She smiles gently before opening the door and closing it gently behind her.

I walk over to my bed and lay down on it. I pull out my phone and check my socials.
