"You have such pretty hair" Steve giggled, braiding and brushing Eddie's hair. Eddie just let it happen because the boy was still drugged out of his mind.
"Can I tell you a secrettt" Steve whispers. "Yeah what is it?" Steve all of a sudden got very serious. "I don't think Nancy loves me anymore" The boy says frowning. "She never wants to do anything anymore. She's always 'too tired' or she's 'busy.' But I think it's bullshit."
This wasn't a surprise to Eddie, he had seen Nancy hanging out with that Jonathan kid more and more. Steve tends to be oblivious, not catching on to the more obvious things in life. Now Eddie's not saying he's stupid, it just takes him a little longer to realize things compared to others.
But this wasn't his businesses and he planned to stay out of it. "Maybe she's just having a rough time." Eddie says, moving a piece of hair out of the boys face. Steve makes eye contact with him. "Yeah maybe you're right, but I haven't had her touch in like a month and it's driving me crazy, yet she seems perfectly fine." Steve says frustrated.
"There's only so much a hand can do yk?" Eddie could not believe the conversation he was having with Steve right now. "Yeah, totally." Eddie replies. Eddie notices Steve leaning in, as his face is getting closer and closer. Eddie feels like he might explode, he closes his eyes and.
"boop" Eddie feels Steve's finger tap the center of his nose. Steve bursts into a fit of giggles. Making that sound over and over again while repeatedly touching Eddie's nose. Anyone else would have laughed at Steve's current state. But Eddie couldn't help but feel a little disappointed.
"I'm gonna get some water." Eddie says. He walks downstairs to get water bottles for both him and Steve. But when he gets back he finds Steve passed out sleep in the middle of the bed. He couldn't help but smile, Steve was so cute when he slept. His hair falling over his face at just the right angle, the way it looked like he was pouting as he laid there. Eddie could stare at him forever.
But instead decided to slightly move Steve and put a cover over him. Then laying himself down on the opposite side of the bed to prevent Steve from freaking out when he woke up. Soon finding himself falling asleep as well.
