CryoFangs widened her eyes as the dragons gazed at her in plain shock, all four dragons in the dark cave were silent and unmoving.

Despite being almost out of her point of view, Cryo could almost see as Eis intensely examined the two dragons, as if waiting for them to make a move on CryoFangs or himself.

Almost instantly, she felt herself swiftly crawling out from her hiding spot to snatch up the book before the other dragons did, but she had a bit of a challenge approaching her, the PyreWing shot for her.

"that's ours, HallowFrost!" He growled, trying to seize the book from her talons, and when she refused to let go, he forced CryoFangs against the wall, his brute strength smacking her head against the stone.

"CryoFangs!" Eis cried, and whilst everything spun around her, the PyreWing was tackled by the other HallowFrost, the book still somehow clutched in Cryo's talons.

She regained her wits just in time for the Aquaz to come stomping towards her, her eyes narrowed and glued to the book. "Hand it over..." she huffed, the quiet schlick! of her teeth sliding from her gums made Cryo cringe, she shook her head and momentarily glanced at the two fighting dragons nearby, the PyreWing trying to pin Eis to the floor.

"Look, HallowFrost, we don't want any trouble, hand it over and I don't sink my teeth into your pretty throat."

"And I don't want you to experience the intense agony of my frozen breath consuming your scales as I freeze you to death," she gave her opponent a look, she swore the Aquaz's eyes seemed to hold a spark of fear in them.

"Slipstream, just take it alrea– AGH!" The burly PyreWing ceased speaking as Eis sank his teeth into his neck, his curved claws digging into the dragon's earthen scales.

Slipstream grabbed hold of the book, CryoFangs kicked her away as she tossed the book away, swiftly drawing her sword and ramming the pommel into her skull, a roar of pain sounded as dark red blood ran down her new wound.

Cryo took advantage and pushed her enemy onto the floor, resting the shining silver blade up against her throat as she stared down at her with narrowed eyes, growling: "call off your friend, Slipstream, or else..."

"EmberWrath, leave him be!" Slipstream exclaimed suddenly, the burly dragon huffed and retreated from Eis, both had bloody claw marks and the occasional oozing bite, Eis had also acquired a few nasty bruises in his battle with EmberWrath.

CryoFangs sheathed her sword and silently approached her friend, as their eyes met he seemed to become less tense and angry, he sighed heavily and stood at her side, staring daggers at the other two as he clutched his bleeding arm.

"What's the big deal, huh?" EmberWrath spat. "Is this some kind of sick joke?"

"What are you going on about?" Eis huffed, "why are you even down here?"

"I'm asking the questions here, HallowFrost! Now: are you two really HallowFrost Dragons, or are you trying to mock their sad demise? Who are you with, I wonder?"

"It's none of your damn business if we're with anyone or not. And yes, we are true, pure-blooded HallowFrost Dragons, the last ones alive, I believe!" CryoFangs answered with a snarl, "who else can live in our Territory? Who else can breathe a breath capable of freezing someone solid? Who–"

"Alright– thank you for the lecture," EmberWrath interrupted, causing fury to scorch under Cryo's scales like magma. "Now: hand over the book, we need it!"

"So do we," Eis said shortly, "maybe you'd like to try your approach again, hmm? Maybe don't attack my friend and we can come to an agreement?"

"They just attacked us and you're trying to strike a deal with them?" She asked with wide eyes, he gave her an unreadable expression, then heaved a sigh.
