"Hi, girls! Did you sign up for the environmental fair?" she asked.

"Oh yeah, we will," Dionne brushed off, before you swooped in.

"You have such pretty eyes," you complimented, removing her glasses. "Don't hide them."

"These clips are so cute," Cher remarked, swiftly taking them out of her hair.

"And this tiny little waist," Dionne added, wrapping her cardigan around her lower torso.

"Girls, you're so sweet," she sighed, walking off with an eyeroll. "Oh, don't forget to sign up for the environmental fair."

"Not a total betty, but a vast improvement."

"Well, we did our best," Cher shrugged. "We got to book if we're gonna make it to P.E." Dionne and you groaned as you walked out into the school's courtyard. "Come on, girls."

"I feel like bailing, dude," you grumbled.

"Come on, let's go."

"I know what you mean, but at least it's exercise," Cher stated. "I feel like such a heifer. I had two bowls of Special K, three pieces of turkey bacon, a handful of popcorn, five peanut butter M&M's, and, like, three pieces of licorice."

"That's nothing, Cher. Please don't be concerned with your weight," you soothed, rubbing her arm as she smiled thankfully at you.

"Oh, my God, look!" Dionne gasped. "Is that a photo op or what?"

"Look at that body language. Legs crossed towards each other," Cher observed.

"That's an unequivocal sex invite," you nodded. "Oh, girls, he's getting her digits."

"Look at Geist. She is so cute," Dionne gushed.

"Ooh. Old people can be so sweet," Cher cooed.

Through the next few weeks, there was vast improvement in your grades. Cher handed you your booklet with a knowing smirk, and you peeled yours open. Behind you, Elton grinned at his grade, reaching over and wrapping his arms around your shoulders. He pressed a kiss to your cheek, causing your smile to broaden.
