||Xingqui's pov||

I was sitting in my bed reading, I put down my book and rest my head on my knees and wrap my arms around my legs. Chongyun is my best friend, we do everything together. I care about him so much, but... sometimes I dream we are more. His fluffy light blue hair, his pretty face. His smile. His eyes. He is perfect in every way, he is just so... pretty. I wish I could hug him, cuddle with him, kiss him and know that my feelings are being returned. I wish that my teasing wasn't just "friends" joking around. I wish on shitty nights, he would comfort me. And the issue is..he would, but I'm scared. I'm scared that he doesn't like me that way and scared that I'll loose him forever, I don't think I could live without his smile lighting up the world. Everything would just be so dull without him. He is always so sweet and so kind. When I'm upset he does hug me and cuddle me. But in those moments I don't think I can hold myself back from telling him and that could very well end our friendship. I've been distancing myself. I hate it! I don't want to but I just can't help it, I don't want to lose him.

I feel a tear forming in my eye. Better just keep reading instead of focusing on my dumb feelings. What's happening is what's happening.

I pick up my book just when I hear a knock on my window. Chongyun. "It's hot out here!" He can't handle his heat very well. "What are you doing here haha" i close my window again once he's in and sit down on my bed. "We haven't hung out much lately, I wanted to stop by"

"Oh yeah, sorry. I've been really busy, it sucks"

"Xingqui..I can't help but feel like you are distancing yourself from me.."

||Chongyun's pov||

Xingqui looks stunned for a minute when he finally scrambles and finds an answer "what! No haha"

"Xingqui..please tell me the truth"

"I-.."

"It's okay I understand, I just want to know..was it something I did..?"

"No! It's just..I need my time to think over stuff.."

"Okay, but please remember I'll always be here when you need me" if he needs him time I'll give him space. I'm about to leave when Xingqui stops me "hey..do you maybe want to hang out today?"

"Of course! But don't you need space?"

"I've thought it threw now let's go! Before my brother or dad comes in haha" we rush out the window laughing. I missed him so much...he always makes me laugh and smile.

"So! Where are we going?" He's back to his normal self..his pretty face with a beautiful smile. "When i was following a lead I had on a local spirit I found a nice spot"

The spot was a cave I found that had a hole for stargazing It was the perfect spot..for a date, how badly I wanted this to be a date. But I know it's not, and it hurts.
