Chapter 149: Breaking (Content Warning)

I arrived quickly at the warehouse, seeing Jackie waiting at the gate. She was very calm and smiled when she saw me. As I neared, I could see the anticipation and the smile on her face.

"Today is the day I believe, Mistress." Jackie said, "I believe today is the day when he breaks under my hand!" She exclaimed, and I could feel her excitement to break her first slave. To make him fall under her whims even if they were contracted whims.

I am not completely sure since this is my first time, but I have seen him lose himself over the last couple of days. I believe that if it is not today, it will be tomorrow. I can feel it." Jackie told me, and I noticed the step back she did.

"Jackie," I said, and Jacke turned to me with an expression of being ready to listen. "We train intelligent people. Or at least with some form of intelligence. We will never be completely sure when they will break into what we want." I looked at her seriously, making sure she understood for the future. "Never say you are completely sure and promise something you cannot do. Take that mother and son, for example. I thought I would take even longer than the Centaur to train initially. Now, look," I motioned as we entered the warehouse, "They have already been sent to their owner completed while the Centaur is still here." I raised a hand to stop Jackie from complaining, "You have done a good job so far, but I am comparing because I had many factors in my favor with those two. First, the son already loved his mother more than I initially thought, and the mother loved her son more than I initially thought. All I had to do was break the barrier between them then half the job was done. Then I gave them extra training to be more entertaining, and I was complete. They took the training and learned because they wanted to stay together." Jackie was nodding. "That is why I am saying you will never know how long something will take. The Centaur just will take a little more time, and you are sure that it will be soon. Understand what I am trying to say?" I asked at the end to see if she took my lesson to heart.

"You are saying that when it comes to promising things with training is that I should never give a deadline for myself." Jackie said, "Because it is easy for me to be wrong on it. I could either be faster or slower because of various reasons I will not know until I start training the slave."

"You are mostly correct," I replied with a smile, "There is only one thing you are missing."

"May I ask Mistress Sally?" Jackie asked.

"Of course," I replied almost with an eye roll. Did she think I was talking this much to monologue? "The last part is that there will be things that we never know about our slaves. They are all individuals, Individuals with thoughts and feelings. They have good and bad memories, some of which might make them hold out longer or shorter. Never forget that. Maybe before that Centaur was caught, he had a wife and children. Maybe he was a tribal leader. We simply don't know or care at this point if the owner doesn't let us know. What we do care about is making sure that we break them. Mold them into what we want. So the only thing you were missing there is that we will never completely know our slaves. Never forget that there will always be a missing factor in the training we cannot account for, and that is why we cannot give an exact time to break. Because most of the time, we will be wrong."
