You were looking at your half kitsune mask while you were sitting on the bedside.

You can still remember clearly that ei had given this to you for congratulating you for gaining the title commander that day.

You sigh as you then heard the door open and you look to see yae coming inside as you then made your mask disappeared and look at her.

"Unfortunately, all the guest room is unavailable right now"

"Hmm~ so I had no choice but to sleep here in your room I see?"

She then sneered as you just chuckled then lean back on the bed while placing both your hands on the bed and look at yae.

"Do you really miss me that much yae?"

She then went towards you and sat on your side as she then lay her head on your lap while closing her eyes.

"You've been sealed away for 500 years, ei forbidden me to visit you because she knew I'll do something to free you there but I guess someone already do it"

"Hmm~ I see.. though I should thank that traveller from another world. If not for her I am still in that island sealed"

"Mhm, that traveller really didn't disappointed me"

You started caressing her hair as silent filled the air for a while as you then look at the clock and it's getting late.

"I should sleep now, yae"

"Eh?~ but I still want to stay like this"

She pout as you just smiled and chuckled at her.

"Remember I still have a nation to save"

"...fine"

She then sat up as you then started going on the bed and sleep while your back is facing her.

But then she turn you to face her as she then snuggled into you as you just sigh and smiled that she still act like a child.

"You never change, yae"

"Can't help when my favorite adepti is finally here"

She then started closing her eyes as you just smiled at her and zone out for a while.

You really plan on just helping the traveller save this nation and went back to your hometown after that.

But there is this part that don't want you to leave this place. A part that is missing something which you can't seem to remember.

"Just what is the reason that made me not want to leave this place.."

You mumbled before you finally fell asleep and wait for the next day.

You woke up when you heard some bird chirping outside the shrine but you notice it's dark and got confused for a sec when you felt some fluffy thing covering your eyes as you then lean your hand and tried touching it.

You touch something that felt like an animal ears as you then started taking it off your face and look to see a pink little fox.

"......"

It was yae as she slowly woke up and saw that your holding her as you put her down.

"Your up early, y/n"

She said while she yawn and you just smiled and went out of the bed.

"I told the traveller I would be back yesterday but then I didn't notice the time and was stuck here for the night"

"Aren't you glad that you get to sleep with your favorite kitsune?"

You just smiled again and went out of her room as she just sigh and return back to her human form and followed you outside.

The shrine maiden started preparing some breakfast for the both of you as you both then sat on the floor and started eating.

Yae then look at the bracelet that she gave you when she was still a child and smiled.

You noticed her smiling and ask her.

"Now what are you smiling for, yae?"

"I'm just happy that you still wear the bracelet I gave you when I was still a child"

"It's precious to me"

"Aww~ how sweet of you~"

You playfully rolled your eyes as the kitsune just giggled and continued eating.

Later you bid farewell to the kitsune as she told you to be careful on your way back.

You wore your mask before leaving the shrine as you got to inazuma city. Just then you stop on ei's statue and look at it for a while.

The shogun was on tenshukaku looking at the window. She was watching her statue and the people stopping by.

She was about to leave when she notice someone stop at the statue. Her eyes immediately widen when she saw that familiar half kitsune mask and those clothes.

That calm face even when she can't fully see her eyes. Her heart began to run faster.

It was ei burrowing the shogun's body for a while as to why she felt this kind of thing again.
