The daily patrols of a police officer were rife with various challenges, disturbances and angry civilians. At times, it could be about as dangerous as a military job, whereas at others, it was simply sitting at some random intersection and watching cars go by, so as to make sure they weren't violating any speed or traffic laws.

That was one of those days for the partners Sergeant William Tawes and Sergeant Sean Finnegan. The two wasp police officers had been up since five in the morning, and despite the cups of coffee they had drank, it still felt like a slog just to stay awake. In fact, the two had even begun to alternate between taking naps due to the lack of activity.

Right now, Finnegan had dozed off and was snoring in the passenger seat, while Tawes simply watched their cruiser's speed tracker, hoping for one of the passing vehicles to break the speed limit just so he could ease his boredom. As the red wasp reached for his phone, the cruiser's radio fired up, and a female voice spoke up, "Officers Tawes and Finnegan, come in, over."

Eager that they were being phoned, Tawes grabbed the mic piece and replied, "Tawes here. 10-4, over?"

"Officer Tawes, we got a situation over on Mikaelberg Street. We sent Officer Bloomberg there about an hour ago, and we haven't heard anything since. Something about some very agitated suspect."

"Roger that, Baxter. Sean and I will check it out. Over and out." With that, the wasp placed the radio back in its holder and shook his black and yellow partner awake.

"The fuck?" Came the accented voice of Finnegan as awoke and looked over at Tawes.

"Rookie's gotten himself into a situation, and we gotta go bail him out." Tawes said plainly as he fired up the cruiser's lights and activated the sirens.

"Uggh, fuckin' new guys. I swear, ya can't leave the little shites with actual assignments until they prove themselves." Finnegan grumbled angrily.

The police cruiser roared back to life as Tawes took off down the road, heading for Mikaelberg as fast as he could. They arrived there several minutes later, and the sight they came across was simultaneously astonishing and hilarious. Officer Bloomberg's car sat parked in front of them, its lights still flashing. Atop it, was a tall and muscular wasp. Much like Finnegan, he was yellow in color with several, horizontal black stripes along his body. But there was a menacing air about him that the cop did not have (at least as much). Currently, he was wearing a black sleeveless shirt and matching pants held up by a simple belt.

The thing that really painted a clear portrait of the scenario was the poor dragonfly guy who was lying on the sidewalk next to the cars. He was almost completely naked, save for the grey briefs that stretched up his back and over his chin. His muffled screams could be heard as he writhed around in pain, his rear muscles wiggling a bit from the movements he caused. This was further illuminated by the form of Officer Frank Bloomberg, who likewise was stuck in a rather nasty atomic wedgie. His black pants were gone, and his tighty-whities were yanked over his face and also strapped to his shoulders. The poor raven hung from the low branch of a tree, and wasn't likely to get down without some help.

"What the hell...?" Tawes said as he witnessed the spectacle. Finnegan was likewise flabbergasted, but nonetheless stifled a chuckle. The two cops quickly exited their vehicle and approached the other wasp, Tawes calling out, "Excuse me! Are you responsible for these twos' predicament?!"

The wasp, who had been looking at his phone, glanced up at the newcomers. He seemed completely unfazed by the appearance of two more cops. Given the fact he did to Frank what he did, this guy was likely not that intimidated by police.

With a deep laugh, he gestured towards both Bloomberg and the dragonfly, "What, these two? Yeah, I'm responsible. Dragonfly bitch deserved what he got and your cop friend? Well... he's just really bad." To emphasize this, he leaned over the edge of the car, picked up a stray rock that was laying near the curb, and chucked it at Frank. It hit the poor guy square in the crotch, earning a pathetic scream and squirm from him.

Rolling his eyes, the suspect looked back down at his phone, "You two need something from me?" As he asked that redundant question, the tiniest of grins appeared on the side of his face.

Finnegan couldn't help laugh as he witnessed the rock hit the raven right in the junk, the paper wasp letting out a loud chuckle of amusement as he did. Tawes, on the other hand, was not amused in the slightest. He took a few more steps towards the muscular wasp, and stated in bold terms.

"Assaulting a police officer like that is a federal offense. You know how long you could spend in jail for doing that?!" When he got no response from him, Tawes just growled again, "What's your name?"

Chuckling loudly, the wasp swung his feet over the side of the police car and grinned down at Tawes, "Name's Andrei. And really, you'd consider this guy a police officer? Oh come on. I've never seen a guy put up such a poor fucking fight... and scream as loudly as he did when I wedgied him!"

After another, loud laugh, Andrei turned his attention to Finnegan, "And what are your names, huh? Because the two of you seem like far more respectable cops than that nerd of a raven."

Finnegan finally began to calm down, as Tawes continued with their introductions, "I'm Sergeant Tawes, and that giggling Scotsman is Sergeant Finnegan."

Tawes glanced over at Frank again, looking a bit worried, and then continued, "And every cop is still a cop, regardless of their skill or age. Our friend may be a rookie, but he's still an officer! And that position demands respect!"

"For the record, he's not my friend." Finnegan raised one of his upper hands as he interjected in.

A loud laugh ripped from Andrei's throat. "Aha! I like you, Sergeant Finnegan. Here, take a shot yourself." He jumped off the top of the police car, grabbed another rock, and tossed it underhanded to Finnegan.

As the rock was in the air, he glanced over at Tawes, still grinning like the devious little bastard he was. "And you need to chill out, Tawes. I mean, come on, both these guys deserved what they got! Plus, social media is

the both of them. They're gonna be stars before the night ends. I would not be surprised if the rookie ended up on the morning news!" He stated that loud enough for the Raven to hear.

The raven writhed nervously at the exclamation, desperate to get out of the situation he was in now. Tawes glanced over again, and then returned to face Andrei.

"You do realize that even if we don't arrest or fine you, then the department will just send someone else over to nab you instead, right?" He asked Andrei firmly.

"They'd send every cop in the department if they had to." Finnegan confirmed, bouncing the rock between his hands.

Andrei shrugged, that cheeky grin never leaving his face. "Bah, I'd be long gone before they ever got here. In fact, I was just about to leave before you both showed up."

As if preparing to do so right now, he turned and started slowly walking down the sidewalk, hands going into his pockets. "So, you both be good cops and pretend I left the scene before you showed up. I'm sure you can make the rookie never speak of this, and the dragonfly? Well... I roughed him up real good. He knows not to mess with me anymore. Isn't that right!?"

The groaning dragonfly immediately let out several, loud muffled yells of affirmation. Whatever Andrei did to him, it really broke his spirit.

"Wait," Tawes said as he grabbed Andrei's arm and stopped the larger wasp, "we can't just let you walk away! Who knows the physical damage you've done to these two! Regardless of whether or not you receive any jail time, you're still coming down to the station with us for further questioning."

He spoke firmly and with courage, despite the fact that Andrei dwarfed by almost half a foot. Behind them, Finnegan tensed up, waiting to see if anything happened."
