Yep that's right, you saw that right. Ya girl is back with a new story, and it's not as short as Letters Across the River, but I don't plan it to be very long either. Like Letters, this is an original MC who is not of Asian descent.
This was originally supposed to be in my Short Story Collection, but as I started writing it, I realised I wanted to expand the story more and try my hand at some more in-depth character building than my usual short stories. It could be 5 chapters, or it could be 50. I really don't know, but I can say I'm excited to write this. I was daydreaming one day when I got the idea, but I hesitated to write about it until now, so please bear with me.
The title honestly only came because I was redoing the plot (the reason for the couple meeting used to be VASTLY different). While I was thinking I decided to listen to Ella Fitzgerald, and thought the song title was a nice title.
Also, I don't like using romanization but I'm aware not everyone can read Korean, so I'll only put the romanized word (in italics) a few times and explain it in a footnote, then it will just be implied from then on unless stated otherwise. For example, if I use Noona (누나), I'll explain it, then I most likely won't mention it again but you'll know that the female in question is older than the person speaking. Make sense?
I take constructive criticism, and I love it when readers comment so have fun commenting any thoughts you have, whether it is feedback or just commenting on the plot as you enjoy it. However, hate comments and arguing (unless it's about the story and is conducted in a mature manner) in the comments will not be tolerated and will be deleted as soon as I see them, so don't waste your energy typing them and save me the trouble of deleting them.
Don't plagiarise my work please, I've worked really hard on this story, especially after the major writer's block and this thing called life that stopped me from writing completely after I finished writing Letters.
