I woke up to a loud bang. ¡Bang! ¡Crash!
"AAH!" I screamed waking up. I was in a really, deep..good sleep. Uagh who the he..flip was that!?
I looked around my medium sized room, when I saw my sister looking at me apologetically.
She had an iron in one hand and an ironing board in another.
I glanced at her, then laid back in bed groaning softly.
"What are you doing?" I asked her angrily.
'Control your anger Aliyah! Control your anger,' I thought to myself calmly.
"Sorry! I just forgot to iron my clothes last night and Fatima and that are coming round today remember?" She said back around to iron her clothes.
"Oh right...yeah I totally forgot about that to!" I said turning around so my back was towards her.
Oh dear, I really did forget!
2 hours later....
I quickly checked the time. It was 13:12.
Looking in the mirror, I put on a lightly coloured scarf loosely around my head.
I was wearing skinny Jeans and a light green and pink kameez top with a pinky green scarf. Stone earrings in my ears and my light make up done, I was ready.
Stomping downstairs in a very un-ladylike manner I skipped in to the kitchen and smiled at my mum and sisters who were all ready and were making the food for today.
"You look very nice," my mother commented to me. I twirled around and laughter, "So do you mum," I featured towards her.
She did. My mother hardly ever got fessed up unless we had family round poor going to a restaurant or...eid.
She was wearing a turquoise shalwarl kameez and a big scarf round her head.
My older sister was wearing a royal blue long top with trousers.
Nicely dressed family, I would say.
I helped then finish getting the food ready when there was a knock on the door.
I opened out revealing my dad and brothers.
Saying salaam, I let them in. Getting a soft slap in the head from my brother Hussain I automatically punched him in the stomach.
hey! That's reflex for you after living with three males and loads more cousin males for your whole life!
After half an hour out so the doorbell rang again very loudly.
My father went too answer it, me as lazy as I usually am just sat on the staircase watching the scene unfold.
I heard voices in the corridor but I couldn't see because my family were in front of me.
So much for watching the scene unfold!
Getting up I saw Fatima coming towards smiling widely.
'Oh here we go!' I thought to myself.
"BACHI!" (child)
"How ARE you my dear?! You look so big!" She squealed at me.
I rolled my eyes and gave her a fake smile. "Salaam Auntie! How are you?" I said to her.
"Amazing my darling! Absolutely amazing. Aah! You know my son's just been offered a place in a college in new York! One of the best...." She started telling me how fantastic her oldest son was but I tuned out in the end.
