We turned around slowly .....

There was an awkward silence. you could hear a pin drop. I mean I lose them all the time, like I wear pins on my scarf and lose them somehow. It doesn't matter where I am, I'll lose at least one pin if not more. And those straight end ones with no attachment thing eurgh, they are my enemy. seriously they hate me...so much!

I would never, ever ever EVER we.....

"ALIYAH!"

Huh?

I looked around to see everyone staring at me. and when I mean everyone I mean EVERYONE.

Awkward points to me? 1 Da-DinG!

I really need to stop drifting off to Aliyahland.

"Sorry," I apologised meekly.

"So you still dance and drift of to Aliyahland?" Asked Baji Laiba still looking at me amusingly.

"Well... it's better than reality?" I answered sheepishly.

"Astaghfirullah! You should always be thankful to Allah for what you have Aliyah!" Scolded Baji Laiba, but then she started laughing. "Come here!"

I laughed and went to hug her and Aisha copied, pretending to wipe her brow in relief.

"Miss me Baji?" I asked her with a smirk.

She pretended to think, "Oh yes! I absolutely, definitely ...probably missed your distant daydreaming, hilariously blonde comebacks and your tardiness to class!" she answered back sarcastically.

"Wow miss, I surely wasn't that bad was I?" I snapped back to her.

"Shoo Aliyah. Get outta here," Laughed Baji Larabe, winking at me, lightly hitting me with the tea towel she was holding in her hands.

I shook my head slightly and smiled fondly. Ah those were the days. Where I could sit in bed all day and it wouldn't matter. everything sounded fun and I always was up for an adventure.

Nowadays, if I stayed in bed all day, it would mean I was ill.ill or I was running away from a marriage rishta. (marriage proposal.) I'm still up for an adventure and I love to have fun....in my dreams though.
