"Honey, can you get that!" Mom yelled at you as she packed her swim things.
"Sure!" You ran towards the ringing phone.
"Hey, this is the Wheelers." You talk to the phone.
"Is Mike there?" El asked.
"Uh... yeah, give me a second." You said. "Mike!" You shout. "Pick up the damn phone!"
"Okay!" Mike yelled back.
You stood there, still on the phone, waiting.
"It's 9:32. Where are you?" You heard El say.
"Sorry, I— I was just about to call." Mike stuttered. "I um... can't see you today."
"What... Why not?" El questioned.
"It's my Nana." Mike answered. "She'a very sick."
"But, Hop said that your Nana was okay, that it was a false alarm." Eleven argued.
"Yeah. That's... what... we thought it was at first, but then she took a real turn for the worse"
"Oh." Eleven sighed.
"Yeah." Mike said. "We think she might... die." Mike gasped.
"What?" You blurted into the phone.
"Y/n! Get off the phone!" Mike yelled from below. "How many times?!?"
"Did Nana call?!" You scream.
"No, Y/n!! Just get off the phone!" Mike hollered.
"Jeez! Fine!" You shouted before placing the phone back.
"Is Nana okay??" Mom asked as she picked up her folded towel.
"Yeah... I don't know." You chuckle.
You ran upstairs as the phone in your room rang.
"Mmm, hello?" You ask.
"It's me, Robin." The voice said.
"Oh, hey Robin!" You smile.
"Guess what...?"
"Oh, shit, what?" You gasp.
"You got the job!" Robin said cheerfully.
"No way, that fast??" You smile. "I... I'll, uhh, be there, as soon as possible!"

As soon as you got to Starcourt mall, you were already shaking with excitement. Getting to work with not just one, but two people you know. You walked through the first floor of Starcourt mall, looking at all the stores.
HotDog on a STICK caught your eye. You look at the unusually large fountain in the middle of the mall. Thousands of pennies scattered in the water.
You walked into Scoops 'Ahoy to see Robin with a flat face, serving to the customers.
"Have a nice day." Robin said, passing them the cones.
"Thank you." The woman beamed.
"Hello there." You smile, walking towards the counter.
"Hey, your uniforms in the back." Robin smiled.
You walked to the back room to see Steve stocking some candy. You grab the uniform laying on a chair.
"Look how cute this is." You snicker.
"Mhm." Steve mumbled as he grabbed a jar of M&M's.
You slid off your top, noticing Steve eyeing you as he ate an M&M. You slightly blush as you put on your 'Ahoy uniform quickly.
You watch as Steve's head perked up, hearing Dustin's voice.
"He's back." You smile as Steve ran out the back room.
"Henderson." Steve's arms flew in the air as you follow behind, sliding on the 'Ahoy hat.
You watch as Dustin's face lit up with
joy, laughing with Steve.
"Henderson! He's back!" Steve jumped, running towards Dustin. "He's back!"
"I'm back!" Dustin smiled. "You got the job!!"
"I got the job!" Steve threw his arms up, imitating a trumpet.
"Hey! Oh!" Steve did his friendship handshake with Dustin.
Starting off with simple hand movements, fist bump, then smashing imaginary lightsabers.
Dustin stabbed Steve with his imaginary lightsaber as Steve pretended to bleed out, smiling the widest you've ever seen.
"How many children are you friends with?" Robin asked.
Steve sighed before pointing at Robin, introducing him to her.
"Hey, Dustin!" You smile, walking around the counter to give him a hug as Steve got him ice cream.
"You got the job too??" Dustin gasped.
"Yep." You smile, fixing your hat.
You stood behind the counter, sitting next to Robin as she served customers. You look in the distance to see Dustin gobbling down ice cream as Steve made conversation with him.
"Uh... can I help? At all?" You ask.
"Yeah, you can— errr- clean the tables." Robin replied.
