Alex Pov
I wake up and check the clock, crap I'm already late. After the snowball me and Max have been hanging out more and more which resulted in us being in a relationship for just going on 5 months. Lucas was angry at first but slowly realised I was a better match for her, as for him, Max's sarcasm could be annoying sometimes.
I consider just laying in bed and staying there for a while, but I realise Max is probably worried and get up. I then rush towards Star court, the new mall in town. I rush there and don't see them, I rush as quickly as I can until I reach scoops ahoy, where Robin and Steve are serving ice cream.
"Finally, the only cool ones here" Robin sighs as Steve shows me out back.
"Remember if anyone catches you..." Steve begins.
"Mind control them so we don't get in trouble" I begin.
"What, no hey...hey come back" He tries getting my attention but I just walk into the movie.
I scan the theatre until I see Max with an empty seat next to her, looking board, I rush to sit next to her and her face lights up.
"What took you...I was getting worried" Max whispers.
"Sorry...overslept" I say back.
"Again?"
"Sorr-"
"Shhh" Someone in front of us shushes us as we continue to watch the movie.
Time skip
Todays the day Dustin is supposed to come back, after the whole Demo dog thing Dustin's been on the lookout for a new pet, luckily my dad gifted him a cat that was missing a leg since he couldn't take care of him. Dustin named him 'Dart 2' in honour of his last pet.
I hear my radio buzzing and go to answer it, Max's voice blares from the speaker.
"Alex, where are you? Dustin will get here any minute" She says with a bit of echo, like she's hiding.
"Oh...sorry, I'll be there soon" I say as I rush to Dustin's house. I get the and knock on the door, I'm a little surprised when no one answers but that's to be expected. I take out a hair pin and pick the lock to his house, I open it and walk around, I enter the bedroom and don't find anyone there.
"Boo-" Lucas tries scaring me, which he does, but it also lands him a punch square in the nose.
"Oh shit man, I'm sorry, I thought you were a ghost or something" I say as I see his now bleeding nose.
"A ghost? really" Max chuckles as I take Lucas to the bathroom.
After stuffing his noses with tissues that are now stained red, we all hide and wait for Dustin. Me and Max cram into a closet.
"Stop poking my leg" Max complains.
"Uh...my hands are over here" I say as my hands are above her head. She blushes a deep shade of red and I struggle to contain my laughter.
Eventually Dustin walks in and Eleven makes all his toy robots move. After he leaves for the living room me and Max leave the closet and grab a sign. We slowly make our way towards Dustin and when he turns his back, we all welcome him home, except Dustin gets startled and blasts Lucas in the face with spray for a solid 5 seconds.
Max takes Lucas to run his head in the sink and the phone rings, Dustin picks it up and talks to the person on the other end before alerting me.
"Alex, its Joyce" He says as I take the phone.
"Hello?"
"Yes Alex, um, can you...come down the shop, Hoppers being a bit stubborn" She asks as I sigh.
"I'll be there in a bit"
I hang up and go into the kitchen, seeing Max hold Lucas's head under the tap.
"Joyce needs me at the shop, I don't think I'll be long though" I say as I hug her from behind.
"Okay, you still remember tonight?" She raises an eyebrow.
"Of course I remember tonight" I say as she turns around.
"Good" She smiles before kissing me deeply, Lucas jokingly gags and Max turns around to shove his face back under the tap.
Time skip
After a while of walking I reach Joyce's shop, which due to Star court is close to going out of business, I enter and see Hopper and Joyce arguing.
"Good Alex is here, your still with that red head right?" Hopper asks.
"Her name is Max, but yeah" I say.
"And you've seen how Mike and El are always together" He says.
"Yeah"
"How do I get them to break up?" He says, I look to Joyce.
"Is this why you called me here?" I sigh as Joyce gives me the 'sorry' eyes.
"Its like they cant live without each other, its like I'm a guest in my own house" Hopper rants.
"Its young love, you'll just have to deal with it" I sigh.
"Nope, no way, there has got to be some way" Hopper stubbornly says.
"...But...knowing Mike, he'll probably say something stupid" I say as Joyce's phone rings yet again. Joyce answers it then calls my attention.
"Its Max" She whispers as I take the phone.
"Hi" I say smiling.
"Hey, you know that hill we went up last week?"
"The one that took us 2 hours?"
"Yeah that one, we have to go up it again to talk to Dustin's girlfriend" She says.
"GIRLFRIEND" I whisper yell as I take off to the hill.
Time skip
I get to where we were all supposed to meet and only see Max there.
"Where are the others?" I ask.
"They all left to go up, I've been here for-"
"20 minutes I know, I'm sorry" I apologize.
"I don't mind waiting if its you" She mumbles as we make our way up.
Time skip
After a further hour and a half we finally reach the top where we see Lucas, Will and Dustin.
"Look who decided to show up, and not help us set up cerebro" Dustin tuts.
"I didn't wanna get bored on the way up here" Max complains as Dustin and Lucas give an offended look.
"Where's El and Mike?" I ask.
"Ditched us...again" Lucas sighs.
Time skip
While waiting for Dustin's girlfriend I fell asleep and Max had to nudge me to wake me up. When I wake up I realise its night time.
"Huh...did you find her yet?" I say to Dustin.
"Nope, because she's not real" Max sighs as we both stand up. I check my watch and my eyes widen at the time.
"Oh crap, if we want to make our reservation we should be going" I gasp, Max grabs my wrist and looks at my watch.
"Your right..." She says.
"Reservation?" Lucas says. "What reservation"
"I'm taking Max to Enzo's" I say and Lucas gasps.
"Isn't that place like super expensive"
"I've been saving, and only the best for Max" I say as me and her run down the hill to make it in time.
