The Secret

After that whole thing with Nagito near the ocean shore, I decided to follow his advice. Shuichi didnt exist to me, he was dead to me. But little did I know there was a secret Shuichi was hiding. I was on my way to the dining hall when it all happened.
Shuichi ran over to me, he was across the hall. "Heyyy, Kaede! I know we havent spoken for a while, but I wanted to apologize for accusing you today."
I crossed my arms. "Oh, so now you want to apologize? Well I dont forgive you."
I continue walking, but Shuichi interrupts again. "I was just happy that me and Kirigiri had something in common! I didnt mean for all that to happen, and you know I'm not entirely at fault here."
I roll my eyes. "You may not be entirely at fault, yet you still hurt me and Kokichi by blaming us for something we had no part of. Now look, Miu's dead. Kirigiri is dead. Kazuichi is dead. Akane is dead. We're all next if this keeps up. Kokichi is already in his feelings. We're all scared of death, and I just want all of this to be over. And it's time you be an actual detective and solve a case too."
I walk right past Shuichi,as he stood there, a bit confused. I decide to make myself a sandwich. Hopefully then Shuichi would get the hint I dont wanna be around him anymore.

I hnag out with Nagito, Chihiro Fujisaki, and Chiaki at the ocean during sunset. Chihiro was still uncomfortable about hanging out with girls, yet they became a lot more comfortable with Nagito around. I wondered why, until they explained it to us.
We were sitting at the tables near the back of the school, when Chihiro began to look down at the sand. "I-I have something to say..." Chihiro says, as all the attention goes to them.
"What is it Chihiro? This is a safe space, so you can tell us anything." Chiaki assured Chihiro.
"I-I am actually a boy. That's why I am uncomfortable around girls." Chihiro sighs as they looks down, a bit embarrassed and worried.
"Chihiro, that is okay. But why do you crossdress?" Chiaki asks.
"Because I was once teased for not being strong enough. Everyone would make jokes like that about me, so I figured if I dressed like a girl, no one would suspect anything. But I guess I'm tired of fooling you all. I know you probably won't want to hang out with me."
"Chihiro, that is okay! I understand why you do it. No judgement here!" I exclaim!
"Yes, Kaede is right," Nagito says. "You are not worthless trash or weak. You are an amazing human being."
"T-thank you all." Chihiro stutters. "But please dont tell anyone."
"We wont!" Chiaki assured Chihiro. "But do you want us to refer to you as a girl?"
"I just rather go by they/them, it comforts me." Chihiro exclaimed.
I smiled at Chihiro as they began to suddenly burst in excitement. Everyone deserves support, love, and respect!

The sun had faded into nothingness, and only the moon was out now. "We should go back to the dorms now," I suggested, "we've probably already missed dinner."
We went back into the school and slept in our dorms. I was excited I finally found friends other than Shuichi and Kokichi...
Speaking of Kokichi, what happened to him?
