Chapter 1

Previously on Prologue

They start placing bets when they see Taiju outside with Yuzuriha. I lean my elbow on the window as I watch the two of them. I notice a weird green light appearing in the sky. My eyes widened at the sight. As soon as the light hits me, I can feel my world turning dark.

Y/N P.O.V

Darkness... it's all I can remember. It was dark and cold. I can't move any part of my body. I don't know how long time have passed since that day. I just know one thing for sure... that everything I once knew is gone.

I can hear cracking sound, and for the first time I can see the light. I slowly try to move. I sit up and look around. My whole body aches. Probably since I haven't been moving for such a long time.

I look down at my body and squeaks, realizing that I'm completely bare. I look around the place I'm in and realize everything have turned back into what it used to be. A forest.

I found a dead animal not far from wear I stand. I cautiously walk forward, afraid that there is any human around. I wouldn't want them to see me in this state, completely exposed.

I feel bad for doing this, but I don't have any other choice. "I'm so sorry..." I said, in a soft voice. Tears slowly streams down my cheeks. I take deep breath and start working.

Eventually, I manage to make an outfit out of the skin of the dead animal. I quickly put it on, since I'm still anxious that I might meet another human. I walk towards the water to check my reflection since there are no mirrors.

The water is surprisingly still, so I can see myself quite clear. This outfit is better than having nothing to wear. I decide to explore the place, so I stand up and start walking further into the forest. What have the world become? It looks like the Stone Age.

This place is like a forest, which means there could be some wild beasts lurking around here. I think it's better if I try to make a weapon to defend myself. I also need to hunt if I want to have something to eat.

With that in mind, I start to walk around looking for supplies. Good thing when I was little, my dad taught me how to hunt and how to make weapon from nature.

I found some bamboos and vines. I think I'll be able to make archery set of bow and arrows. Yes, that'll do. But how do I cut it down without a knife? I look around and found some rocks. I reach down and start carving it into rock knifes.

A While Later

Once I manage to get it done. I start cutting down some bamboos. I start working on making my bow and arrows.

I let out a sigh once I finally done. I strap it around my shoulder and carry my bow. I was about to walk away, but stop when I think of something. I still have a some bamboo left. I sit back down and start to make something else.

There's no way for me to make a modern musical instruments like violin and such. So, I guess a flute
made of bamboo would do. I need music to keep me going in this kind of world.

After a while, I'm finally done with making the flute. I gently clean it with my clothes. I try to blow it and smile when it works the way I wanted. It may not be the best flutes I can get my hands on, but it's all I've got.

I make a strap so I can tie it on my belt. I stand up and start walking. I'm hungry, so I'll try to hunt for something to eat.

I spot a bird not far from me. I kneel down and prepare my arrow. I aim it at the bird and focus, trying to keep my arm as steady as possible. Then I release the arrow.

I grin happily when I manage to hit it. I stand up and run towards it. I pick it up and smile sadly. "I'm so sorry, little bird. I have no choice" I said. I take it with me and start a small fire.

Time-skip

After eating the bird I've caught. I start to make a shelter. It's going to be night soon, so if I don't make a shelter... I would freeze to death. By the looks of it, it's around spring. Although, I don't know exactly what day it is.

Never mind that, I'll just focus on the recent event. Which is surviving. So, just like that... I start to work on the shelter. My dad taught me everything I knew about survival in the wild. He even took me with him from time to time.

A Few Hours Later

It took me a while, but I finally manage to make the shelter I need for survival. I wash my hand on a nearby stream. I look around, staring at all the statue of the people that used to be a human just like me.

I smile sadly at the sight. I stand up and walks back to the shelter I made.

I climb up the shelter and set everything down. I lay down in exhaustion after a whole day of hunting and crafting. I place my hands behind my head, as I let my mind drift off.

How long has it been since that day? What happened to everyone... why did they turned into stone? I can't believe that everyone and everything I once knew is gone. They all turned into stone. I close my eyes as flashes of images of the people who turned into stone appear inside my head.

Unbeknownst to me, my tears starts falling. I cover my mouth as I start to cry softly. Waking up alone in a world like this... it's hard. I wish someone out there will survive too. I don't wanna be alone. I'm scared.

Eventually, I start to feel tired from crying. I turn to lay on my side, curling up into a fetal position. I close my eyes and let myself drift off to sleep.
